Just saw where your county commission could not agree to fund the Humane Society. These animals are more important than some of the baggy pants trash you have walking the streets. Enfore the baggy pants law use that money for the animals, I know it is not being enforced by the number of punks I see everytime I come up there. People should have to prove where they can afford to care of an animal or a child before having either one. It is clear alot of them can't, look at your welfare rolls. For the commission not to care about poor animals is a digrace to your county. They have no problem paying high wages to some of your so called big shots, cut their wages and give to Humane Society. A couple of them are as worthless as tits on a boarhog. Just on your commission and support these helpless animals.

Right on the money as usual Chuck. Hard to believe Stafford wants the funds to be equal for both animals and prisoners. The convict put himself there, the animal had no choice. You are right about the baggy pants too. They have a full time cop that rides around telling folks to cut their yard and yet we have a town full of uncivilized ignorant SOB's walking around with their pants half off. Maybe this new guy will pull them pants up. I would do it but I would be in trouble for not being polite about it.

Maybe the three commissioners that voted "no" to helping the Humane Society should go work a day at the shelter. Perhaps they would then appreciate what this group does for Decatur County. BTW, I hope the people who elected these three people do not vote for them again. Enough is enough!!!

Can anyone decipher what the hell Stafford is talking about. All I can figure is that $ 24,155 is not equal to $ 40,000. This is the first time that I wish I had a Doctorate Degree so i could understand him, reminds me of the time Goober grew that beard. Does anyone out there have the Post Office Box number for that mail order college? I wants to send them a correspondence letter.

How about the humane society sticking their nose in other areas and causing big trouble..Take a look at what happen to the horse business. The humane society done more harm to the horse business by shutting down slaughter horse houses. Look what happen to horse complaints across the united states and how the humane society drove down horse prices.

"Rattlesnake roundups are undeniably cruel events . Each year, thousands of rattlesnakes are captured, abused, and killed for entertainment. Roundups began as snake control for farmers, but have evolved into tasteless public spectacles. Help us shut them down.

Collectors from Texas to Pennsylvania pull rattlesnakes from their dens using poles tipped with fishhooks or spray gasoline or other toxins into the dens, poisoning local endangered and threatened wildlife.

Carted to roundups without food or water in dirty, cramped conditions, snakes arrive starved, dehydrated, or crushed. The survivors are used in exhibitions and daredevil acts, and some are decapitated and served up as exotic meat.

People at these spectacles risk snake bites and consuming Salmonella along with their rattlesnake meat.

Rattlesnake roundups are bad for snakes, the environment, and people. Find out if there is one near you".

"Millions of wild animals are struck down by vehicles each week in the U.S. The suffering and death of every cardinal, skunk, and deer is horrible to think about. And on a larger scale, there are some wild populations that can’t survive the loss of individuals.

We’ve got good news: Society is making great strides to help wild animals cope with roads in their habitats."

Okay, let's not slaughter horses anymore and send all these young drug dealing punks with their pants down there and make dog food of them. Think of the money we would save on welfare. Hey can I be the guy who does the shot to the back of the head. I'm in!!!

I'm sure that our next ape-president will take care of all these problems with the humane society. All the monkeys and other animals will be taken care of.

I was disappointed in the three comm. who voted against doing the right thing. The humane society provides a valuable service to Decatur Co. and should be praised instead of talked down to by our two infamous Doctors. They are doing a poor job of supervising our Co. employees but have all the answers for the humane society. Remember them when the next election rolls around.

I'm told Stafford committed earlier last week to support the additional funds for the humane society, but when his buddy Comm. Dr. Perry chastised him he forgot his committment. If Perry says jump he asks how high. Maybe perry will move with him to Cairo and they can run the Grady Co. Comm. With their line of thinking they are not serving D.C. well.

Joe Blow, the city of Bainbridge pays $80,000.00 per year while the Co. offers $40,000.00. Is that fair and equitable. My math says the Co. is not doing their fair share. You tell me if I am wrong.

I would like to run the animal shelter. I think if they would let me have the fines for dogs being abused, such as tied to a tree and running loose. Maybe let my animal control officer write tickets for baggy pants hanging down and have that money also, I could show a profit. It can not be harder than showing a profit at Mobile City was. I'm thinking these pants down boys are just monkies anyway so I should have the money for the Humane Society. Also I would give matching dollars for each dollar a city or county commission member gave out of HIS OWN pocket. Maybe find out how much they care about their town. Or am I just being stupid? If you are a good ole boy you should give back, should you not???

Now I'm not saying the person running the Humane Society is not doing a good job, they just do not have the great demanding ways I have. I'm a big believer in put up or shut up. Remember animals can not talk, well my dog George gets his point across.

I say get rid of everone and put inmates in there to do the jobs. Its done all over the county and it works,If its not working there its cause someone there is not doing there job.So if you dont want that offer then forget about it.And who pays for all the animals that are brought in from surrounding counties that dont have shelters?Im sure that is also charged to Decatur County also.Is that right to do that? Why not send that county a bill.Sounds like they need to hold a lot more fun raises also. They only get promoted when they do this.Seems it happened once before.
