There is no ivey furnal home in Bainbridge. There is however, an Ivey Funeral Home. They have helped me in the past with the death of my son. Bridget was helpful even after the service when she would come and check on me and my wife. She was a friend during a hard time. I have never seen a funeral home have such care and compassion for families.

If someone at a funeral home is attentive to you during your time of loss, it isn't because of compassion, it's about the money! All funeral homes are complete rip offs and they prey on grieving families. Funerals are outrageously expensive! These places could still remain wealthy if they cut their costs in half. Dying is BIG business, and they will never run out of clients.

Well of course they do it for the money. It is, afterall, a business. Would you rather them do it for the fun?
Ivey's is as expensive as anywhere else. It costs big bucks to bury people and besides, would you really want it done cheaply?

All funeral homes aren't rip offs. They have to make their money also. When I had to deal with them, I have u know, not one time did they ask me about what I could or couldnt afford, they never brought up anything about money! I was the one who later went to them with insurance. They never asked how I could pay or if I could pay period! They let me pick out anything and put it all together for me. They are very kind and caring! Ivey's is well known for doing a decent job! Bridget works very hard and puts in long hours to be with these families one on one.

I really hope that Mr. Ivey and Mr. Cadwell have read your very negative post and written your names down for future reference-----so that when your time comes and they get to do your funeral prep--enjoy that pine cone for eternity that was inserted in a tender place.

Mr. Dick Ivey and Ms Bridgett are two of the most well respected and nicest people you will ever meet. Yes they have a business to run, and yes it cost money. Tell me what doesn't cost money. But I also know that they have helped a lot of folks in this community who did not have the money to pay. They care about their neighbors, friends and community. And like my Momma use to say, "IF you cannot say something "nice" about someone, then don't say anything at all."
