Two former Decatur County Public Works employees were arrested last Friday and charged with illegally giving tobacco and marijuana to state inmates. Two jobs lost and two lives ruined because of convicts. Once you give them something they have you, as soon as you stop they will turn you in, bottom line don't do it.

Please tell me that yall aren't putting ALL the blame on the inmates. All parties involved are at fault. Nobody put a gun to anyones head and made them bring tobacco & weed to them.

"Two jobs lost and two lives ruined because of convicts."

What? It wasn't the convicts fault. We already know they are criminals. If anything, the convicts shed light on TWO more criminals.

When a five dollar pack of cigarettes will bring fifty to a hundred, what do you expect. A thirty dollar cell phone sells for three hundred. They just got caught taking advantage of their positions. Judges and lawyers do it every day.

Yea really? How is it the inmates fault? Of course they want those things and get them all the time. No one made the employees go to the hood and buy drugs! They are fully responsible for their own lost jobs! Sick of people trying to justify an employee being a drug dealer, yet the other drug dealers are in jail. Are these employees in jail as well now?

Drugs? I can see. Providing inmates with tobacco products (contraband), get real people. Speaking of the hood, you would be amazed at who owns the homes in one of the most CRACK infested neighborhoods in West Bainbridge. Not that it makes it his fault, but he knows whats going on and has no problem collecting rent. I guess Drug Money spends just as well.

Here is hoping the Judge sets an example with the two guards. These people are incarcerated, suppose to be punished. Have all their liberties taken away, but when they get three free meals a day, have liquor flowing, and all the drugs they want, and a cell phone to lay back and call on all day, I wonder where their punishment is. The life these guards were giving them is better than the life on the outside. I imagine if they don't crack down on all the illegal items going into the jail, some may be trying to escape to get more time in "Hotel Decatur".

Once again, as the late Paul Harvey said, If you really want to meet some of the scum of the earth, go to a Prison Facility... AT SHIFT CHANGE.

Most of them convicts is out there cause the man done them wrong and now the man taking advantage of them even more making money off stuff they ought to be give anyway. Slavery still going on, it's just called the justice system. White folks do stuff too they just pay out while a brother has to chop weeds.

Question: If you have a prisoner who is assigned to you for a detail Mon-Fri., and you let him smoke while he is out of the prison facility, is this against the law? Tobacco never is given to him to go back to the facility with.

DCCI is nothing more than a staph infested slave camp. Most of the county inmates there are there on bullshit charges just to keep the free labor force up. It is no hotel decatur. It is a asbestos infested sweat camp with shitty food. A place where you can get half killed over a pair of shoes. Nothing fun about it at all. If this county wasn't full of hyprocrit christians that place would have been shut down. As far as city employees giving them contraband. Oh well, now that they are in trouble there are plenty of other people willing to make a fast buck to supply their needs. No one mentioned the guards who sell them cell phones and drugs. Meanwhile petty criminals are doing hard labor in horriable conditions so our county can have some slaves. One of the inmates there served a year because his pants were sagging. It not so much what you did to get you there but, if you get arrested the first question you will be asked is what kinda work you do. God forbid you are a carpender or a painter because no matter what you did or didnt do you are on your way to dcci. time to take a stand and shut down decatur county slave camp

Nothing but Legalized Slave Trade. It may not shut down but it will be sold privately. The State is broke. Watch and see who the Private Crooks are that will buy the facility. It is amazing how all of these Decatur County hypocrites can pass judgement when the only thing that separates them from a prisoner is... THEY HAVEN'T BEEN CAUGHT!!!

I guess that would depend on whether or not you are from Decatur County. I only say, if he is allowed to have out of the prison, why not in the prison. Sometimes you must use Common Sense and Fair Judgement. Tobacco is not illegal, why should it matter? However, YOU have just put YOURSELF at risk of supplying contraband. But for God's sake do not let him use your cell phone to call his Mother, because she can't afford the phone rates. You be your own judge.

If you don't do anything illegal you will not end up there.
However, if you do and all you had to do is sit around all
day, I have a feeling you would be complaing about that. The real
sad story is that those dope criminals finally have to do a little
work and it's more than they can stand!!!!! KEEP THEM WORKING!!
KEEP THEM LAZZZZZZZY BUTTSSS WORKING, WORKING, WORKING, WORKING,
FINALLY HAVE TO WORK OMG!!

Well...not everyone sees it like a bad thing. I know numerous people who have gotten out of jail, talking about how they wana go back. About all the things they did, and loved! Its sad but if I hear that, I'm sure they didn't mind working or the nasty environment! People put in there for dumb reasons is what's making our state go broke, like someone said, a year for saggy pants? Wtf? Yea I don't wana see anyones ass but I wouldn't put them in jail for it! What I cant stand is some of the same people locking you up, supervising you, etc, are criminals too. Yet they usually get away with it.
