lets talk about something interesting LIKE why the baileyton mayor is still in OFFICE ,? when the town charter calls for only 4yrs... after that by law the secondary mayor takes over till a new mayor is in PLACE... you can only be in that office for 4 yrs......just like even the PRESIDENT can only be in office 8yrs....... why is the TOWN not following the LAW.... if your own leaders cant follow the RULES??????????they do not need to be Leading....... am I RIGHT.....?????

Here, let me google that for you since you can't use a computer. http://lmgtfy.com/... : Was that so hard? Sometimes I wonder how the hell people can get on the internet and find a stupid site like this but can't use a search engine! And here is another incase you decide you want to learn a little more http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Term_limits_in_t... : Most terms is 4 years. Got that? Some places will only let you serve 2 terms, so that's 8 years. BUT only certain places limit it to 1 or 2 terms. In most places the person is mayor until they retire ;) Now go grab a book or something kerm cause all you do is stir the pot with bs when u could use your brain for something productive! I mean really why ask this dumb question that you could have answered for yourself? DUH!

well because the Baileyton TOWN charter says 4 yrs..not till you retire... I said that in my statement THE TOWN CHARTER calls for only 4 yrs.
now who cant READ...... and then instead of comeing on here and acting like and adult you resort to calling someone a NAME.... now who is not using their brain porductivly???? yes and I agree some places got different TERMS but again
the TOWN only call for 4 yr TERM.....

Read all of Article 2 : http://docs.google.com/viewer... Now Kerm, where the hell does it say they can only be in office for 4 years??? IT DON'T!!! It says a term is 4 years and that the current incumbent mayors shall serve until their successors are elected and qualified. So I stick to my previous statement. Now do you think it was a stupid question? BTW, if it f*&king bothers you so much why don't you go to the county election commission and file a nominating petition for yourself or anyone else you deem fit enough to be mayor? Also who the f*ck really cares how long Tommy has been the Mayor? I don't! The mayor only gets a salary of $600 a year. Whoop-de-damn-do!

Look dude, Why the hell do you care? It says you are in Johnson City not BELTON so WTF is it to you? And FWIW we have crooked people in every office in every county in every state. Jeez.. And BTW I am a convicted felon and I really have no need for any political parties, elected officials, the president or any other SOB for that matter. F^&k them all! USA land of the free my ass! Get caught with over a half ounce of pot and your a criminal with NO RIGHTS! I can't have a gun to protect my family, I can't vote either so maybe that's why I could care less about this whole topic. So do you see what I am getting at? I really don't give a good-god-damn about the mayor nor does most other people. I am the only one responding your your question ;) People around here are stupid and/or lazy and you should do your own homework like I said before. And BTW I am not crooked! Period! If I was, I damn well wouldn't be a convicted felon, I would be a snitch like all the sorry ass f^&king people in Baileyton, Greeneville, Rogersville, ect. Guess what? You can't trust anyone but your damn self these days ;)Also you seem totally hooked on Tommy for some unknown reason. I don't recall reading any thing about the mayor setting someone up. But then again like I said I could give a rats ass about politics so maybe I missed something. You just pissed me off when you came on here talking sh!t when you really didn't even know the law. It did say the mayor serves in 4 year terms but it never limited it to 2 terms (8 years). I will repeat myself "If it f*&king bothers you so much why don't you go to the county election commission and file a nominating petition for yourself or anyone else you deem fit enough to be mayor?" I am done with this topic as it seems to me like someone trying to beat a dead horse to death. It is just pointless!

We moved to Baileyton a few years ago. We had high hopes because we were told how friendly everyone that lives in this area is! My hopes have been dashed over the past few years. People in this area are only friendly if they work in a local store, food service etc. My child went to Baileyton school and we attended every sports event at the school. Some events my child was not even playing in but we went to support the team. No one said Hello or welcome to our community. We sat down and everyone sat 5 feet from us like we had some disease. One person spoke to us the entire season which was to ask if we had a church we went too. Not, Hello my name is......... When we answered no not yet she explained where her church was. I thought this is great. Finally, someone would like us to be part of the community. I was wrong as this person never spoke to us again even though she was at the same events we were. We tried to volunteer only to go to the place and have no one say Hi or smile back. We sat there, listened and felt like we were not wanted. Growing up in a small town in another state, I can understand that this is a close knit community. We are outsiders (as we feel) and are not here to change anything. Just because we are "outsiders" does not mean you don't smiling back or don't respond when someone says hello. It is just plain rude, shows a lack of manors and is not very christian. You don't know us. You don't know if we are shy/outgoing, rich/poor, friendly/or not and so on. We are or want to be friendly. We want to care about this community we live in. We want to know our neighbors. We want to help others. We want to make sure this area stays as it is; beautiful, a bit behind the times, low taxes, and so on. You would not know this because you have never taken the time to know us!

Baileyton is a s***hole full of small minded people who would never make it in the real world.

Get out while you can. That closed-off mentality will ruin your kids' chances of ever making it out of there, because if you live there too long you stop trying to be a better person just like all the other idiots that live there
