Whats up with your poll? Isnt the Glover the home to Bistro La Luna? Where is the sunset grille located, isnt that the old Nina's in the holiday inn?

Let me see if I can unravel this for you, lol. The Glover is downtown in the 2 story brick building with the fountain out front that was once La Strada. The former owner of La Strada, Beatrice (Bischof) Glover, is now the owner of The Sunset Grille located inside the Holiday Inn and Bistro la Luna is located at Covenant Cove. |

I GET IT! LOL! I THOUGHT Nina owned the restaurant inside Holiday Inn...Hmmm, I read in the paprer where she took over the cafe in the courthouse, is the food pretty good there? Or is it quick stuff? Anybody know? |

Nina used to run the place in the Holiday Inn then she took over the place at the courthouse. The food at the place in the courthouse is very good from what I hear, havent had a chance to sample it myself.

Nina's Courthouse Grill has sandwiches, salads and a different "meat and 3" type menu for each day of the week. When Nina left the Holiday Inn, she opened up Nina's Rock House Restaurant on Gunter Avenue. That location is now The Rock House Eatery, owned by Joey and Brandon Duncan. I believe they opened up for business last week but haven't had a chance to check it out yet. You can definitely always count on Nina for down home cooking. Haven't tried the pizza place you mentioned since they re-opened but it is definitely on my radar. |

I guess the numbers say it all. I guess that is why the Glover has closed. Maybe at least by their closing it may help the rest of the restaurants to keep their doors open during these tough economic times.

If fresh great food in an awesome fun atmosphere with good service to boot is what you want than I'd suggest the Rock House Eatery on Gunter Ave in Guntersville Al. Everything I've tried has been great. He roasts all his own meats for sandwiches and ther's a special daily. Give it a try!
