They may as well, or at least submit a plea bargain. It's their best bet for a shorter jail sentence.

http://www.topix.net/forum/phoenix/TNB4GLU9K2... Might be missing them plenty more. Now they will face the consequences of their crimes and have a lot of time for self-reflection on the felonies they committed. A shopping spree, renting a Mercedes are not very noble reasons for robbing a bank of $250,000+. Up to 20 years, here it comes. |
They pleaded guilty. They had a nice shopping spree. They rented a Mercedes. They stole $250,000 from a federal bank. Now, they pay the piper with up to 20 years each. |
But, but, but...... BUT THEY'RE INNOCENT.(because somebody loves them???)
I'm anxious to hear what the sentencing is. And there better be reparations in the amount equal to that which was stolen, no less than $250,000.
Not a bad crime some say? Well, let's see how long it takes them to pay that money back and maybe they will learn to appreciate hard work and realize the people who's money they stole was hard-earned. They'll hopefully have plenty and plenty of time to reflect on that. Get a GED or something. And if you are educated, get a job and start paying the money back. |

Curious as to why this wasn't considered a terrorist act, as the two female felons threatened those in the bank with an explosive device. One would think that Homeland Security would have purused charges under the Patriot Act.
If those who "loved" these two people really loved them, why didn't they help them avoid getting into this situation in the first place by helping them out financially, paying off their debts, and so forth? Instead, they just all sat by and let it grow into an irresponsible, thoughtless, inconsiderate, and cruel act as robbery and threatening others with deadly harm? Let them off easy, then everyone else and their sister will be robbing banks because they think they can steal 1/4 million dollars and get a slap on the wrist. Hope the Attorney General is thinking at a higher level than the defense attorney who thinks they should get off with a light sentence. |

Like I said, they are LUCKY they didn't come across an undercover law enforcement officer, or just a civilian carrying concealed and saw this armed robbery in progress, they could have been shot and killed.
Just a simple mistake, sure. Next time, the outcome could be much worse. Why don't you give them money so they don't have to commit a federal, felonous crime if you love them so much? Yeah, "love them" = all talk. Put your words into action. Take these girls in, give them everything their spoiled little brat minds want, and make them not appreciate working hard a day in their lives. If you aren't up to that, then you have no place to speak. Crime doesn't stop overnight. Their lives are not forever marked and they will commit as bad or worse crimes when they are freed. Either that or mix with the wrong crowd and get themselves hurt or worse. |
They confessed that they spent too much money, owed too many people, so rather than work hard, they stole and got caught. IT IS FINISHED. Once a thief..... |
You seem very small minded, why don't you sit back and stop judging these two young ladies. You have no clue why this happened, so sit in your trailer and be quiet. |
again blah blah blah i lived with them i know what they had they both DID work Hence candace working at the bank you retard man if you believe everything you read in the paper then you are just as small minded as you think they are believe me the story that the paper wrote doesnt know shit they eve have the sequence of event WRONG of course they are going to play off the fact that candace like to shop but for you narrow minded people here is the WHOLE excerpt for her page...."Traveling, spending time with my family and friends whenever possible, SHOPPING!!!, meeting new and exciting people, advancing my career and education, and just enjoying the gift of life!!!!" by the way you bigots I MADE CANDACE AND CECILLIAS Myspace pages so grow up its JUST A MYSPACE PAGE

Once a criminal always a criminal.
Now they get to go to the school of hard knocks. They most likely will not be better than C-average in prison as they weren't smart enough not to get caught and were dumb enough to flaunt their spoils with juvenille shopping sprees and renting a Mercedes. Way to attract attention to yourselves. Made the cops' job easy on this time. |

Do you know how to write a sentence0? I have read your posting 3 times and can not figure out what you are trying to say. If you said that they work, you are probably right. They are working robbers. They robbed and stole money from the bank in Oregon, and now they tried it here. As for the paper, who cares!! they confessed. They did it! It is a closed case. Now they will go to jail and maybe, just maybe, they have enough time to learn a trade-other than stealing- and can become a member of society, rather than a menice to society. |

cece was one of my best friends in high school we dont know the complete story so dont be so quick to judge...im not saying this was a good thing..but people do make mistakes...and cece has no criminal record...keep ya head up cece

After reading both sides, I don't see how one could side with the sisters. I cannot see any reason to empathize with them. Granted, they were behind on their bills, debts, etc...Most adult have gone through this at least once in their life, so their problem is not uncommon. Typical behavior would be to find other methods of paying off debts - family loan, work two jobs, give up expensive lifestyle, sell personal belongs, etc...For whatever reason, they showed poor judgment and should be sentenced accordingly. The sister was fired from the Oregon bank seems to be a real piece of work and I hope they throw the book at her. Sometimes we learn from our mistakes...let's hope this is the case for these girls and they can eventually become good members of society.

Thankfully I, like most people, have worked hard, paid our dues, and as a result, do not live in a trailer as these girls may have prior to their robbing a bank, spending money that is not theirs, threatening bodily harm with an explosive device, and renting a shiny new car. Childish, thoughtless, inconsiderate, willful wrongdoing. By the way, they NOW have a CRIMINAL record. And, this one cannot be removed by driving school. Nor does it get removed from their records in a year. This action will follow them the rest of their selfish lives. They will not find it easy to get a job, not like they would necessarily try anyway. They will not have an easy time getting credit. They most likely will never again be independent and will probably have to rely on some not-so-bright men who may take them as wives. To support these felons really doesn't mean much at all. How can one support felons who have confessed? And, by the way, it is not 20+. If you knew how to read, it is UP TO 20. Hopefully your cheerleading from the sidelines helps them this time, because it certainly did not help them make the right decisions in the first place. |
Well said. Case closed. Do the crime, do the time. You are the weakest link in society girls. |
