THIS IS A TERRIBLE TRAGEDY THAT COULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED. MONTAUK HIGHWAY/LITTLE EAST NECK ROADS ARE WELL-KNOWN FOR THEIR SPEEDING DRIVERS! SPEED BUMPS/SPEED REGULATING SIGNS , MORE TRAFFIC LIGHTS---ANYTHING REALLY COULD HAVE SLOWED DOWN DRIVERS. NOT TO BE PREDJUDICED OR ANYTHING AGAINST MY ELDERS, BUT I MY OPPINION, AT AGE 65 AND EVERY FOUR YEARS AFTER, A MANTARY CHECK IN ROAD TEST SHOUDL BE ENFORCED IN ORDER FOR A PERSON TO MAINTAIN THEIR DRIVER LICENSE. IT IS JUST PLAIN AND SIMPLE FACT THAT REACTION TIME SLOWS DOWN AS YOU AGE. WHEN I'M 65, IF THIS BECOMES A LAW, I WOULD NOT COMPLAIN...IF IT COULD SAVE LIVES. IT WOULD ALSO GENERATE REVENUE FOR THE STATE GOVERNMENTS, EVEN IF THEY CHARGED A MINIMAL FEE PER ROAD TEST. I DON'T KNOW HOW FAR THIS COMMENT WILL GO BUT IT WAS TERRIBLE LEARNING THAT THIS WOMAN DIED, MAYBE SHE WOULD HAVE HAD ANOTHER 20 YEARS TO LIVE, HAD THIS NOT HAPPENED. I WORK 1,000 FEET AWAY FROM THE ACCIDENT AND IT WAS VERY SADDENING TO DRIVE HOME PAST THIS SCENE.-v
