Los Angeles's streets are collapsing almost everywhere in their city, TOO. Looks like the biggest water waster in the midst of the drought are the water companies.

Azusa Light and Power loves to attach 50 dollar fines to individual home owner's water bills for wasting water and breaking their arbitrary/capricious rules. Nothing except a CLASS-ACTION LAWSUIT will stop this abuse of power. Give ME a BREAK. I am irritated. NO WONDER THE COMPANY WILL NOT COMMENT.!!

It's unincorporated Covina. Los Angeles County provides police and fire services, instead of the city of Covina. Same zip codes as Covina, but if you have a 5 digit house number, you're in the unincorporated area.
Your address is still considered Covina, as far as mail is concerned, but basically the city of Covina doesn't care about you and doesn't let you use their library.

I'm slightly confused as to how the heck two kids playing in a broken water main is news worthy. This happens all the time... the columnists priorities are a little mixed up. The tiny bit at the end that states this same water main has broken three times in two years is probably more important, but not by much. Who is letting a six year old prance around in a broken water main in Autumn?!?! sheesh.

And, I'll have you know, our taco truck will ONLY visit the unincorporated areas. The city of Covina can't have our tacos until we can use their library!!!!
They can take our library, but they can't take...OUR TACOS!!!!

Don't knock it till you try it! I used to play in the gutter as a kid (in COVINA no less) and I grew up without any problem...itch itch, scratch scratch!

Haha! I was thinking the same thing..."near Covina?" The Covina Library is nothing to write home about anyway. I stopped going there years ago. The last straw was when they wanted to charge me for ordering a book from another library, something they never did before. I have been using the country library in West Covina near the courthouse. Much nicer and you can request to hold books from other libraries (no fee) and extend your return date online.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Scorpio

Be careful how you handle a certain someone today because their mood is little short of incendiary. They'll jump down your throat if you dare to disagree with them, and then accuse you of being a wimp if you decide that it would be better to agree with everything they say. You can't win! If they really get on your wick, you'll have to give them a piece of your mind, even if it is supposed to be the season of goodwill to all men. Huh!
