Probably illegals living in the mountains or a fire fighter started it to keep his job.

Schwarzenegger was going to reduce the amount of firefighters to balance the budget so the firefighters union caused this to show him otherwise. j/k I knew it was arson. I wouldn't be surprised if we soon find out that the morris and station fire was started by the same person.

The name's Leary (Irish form of Larry, and pronounced as 'LAY-REE'). I know how to pronounce your name, one of the really good friends I've had since school days is named Bruce. He lives in San Pedro, CA and told me that there are fires burning near him, too, in Palos Verdes. Bruce, I didn't blame "them goddamned pot smokin hippy mofos" because I don't think of them as the kind of folks who would maliciously set fires. I instead 'blamed' some potential Lefty anti-everything ideologue, because they have proven before that they are the type who will, and have. EARTH FIRST! types, for instance. That's all I said.

Morris was declared as arson and soon enough Station will be declared arson too. Seems to be the pattern. Start at the east end, eat up resources then come west and start over on the west.

Thanks to the squandering of budgets, fed and state, we don't have fire rangers out there like we used to.

Imagine the millions saved had we had a few rangers on the taxpayers payroll at the paltry civil servant salary they make, out there patrolling our forests and parks.

Very wise decision to downsize staffing *sarcasm*

Get ready for more tax increases to pay for this.

As soon as the news reports a "red flag warning" the next day 3 huge fires "erupt'? I don't recall any volcanos around here... anyone else? The local news stations make me almost as sick as these "fire officials" and political suits mugging for the camera as they pat themselves on the back for "such an outstanding job"! Way to go..... who cares how they start right? Just as long as we keep all those firefighters working all season long as our tax dollars burn up with what little open land we have left here. What a total scam! Firefighters depend on arson for a steady pay check. A dirty little known secret to be kept hush hush by these "officials".

I was up by morris damn the saturday before it started, it was real dry, vegetation was very crispy,anything could have set off that fire. I wasn't one bit surprised. As for the people I saw, were people with families getting away from the heat. I seen people barbecuing with no common sense on what danger lied ahead. 99% were legals, illegals it don't matter. Its a done deal. Stay home and quit putting our lives, homes, and fighters in danger Mexicans.

99% were legals?? what are you with ice?? were ya checkin' green cards?? why does everything have to come down to race?? as if some undocumented alien wants to burn down the forrest, many times the arsonist is a firefighter, has occurred many times, and most of our firebugs are homegrown, pull yer head out .......
Only on to be entertained

Seriously! You can't write for shit! You really are ignorant. Racist loser. Proofread what you intend to put out there for the world to see before you make yourself look like an idiot. "I seen", "It don't matter" are you kidding!!! This is so poorly written that I can't stop laughing! I know people that are not from this country that can write a hundred times better than you.

OR maybe it was Soldier622, since all he's ever says on this board is how much he hates Azusa and how it should be put out of its misery, etc. Maybe he really meant it!

Sorry to burst your bubble. Reportedly a van with no registration was spotted along the side of the road. It did not display the required Forest Adventure Pass, as I am sure this is not a perk included with the monthly welfare package. Apparently a witness observed approximately 15 occupants in and around this van. The van was described as two-tone,missing one headlight,a bumper,and had a plastic Jesus on the dashboard.As the witness observed an occupant throwing a dirty diaper on the ground,he gave chase in an effort to have them pick up their filth. He mentioned, as 8 more of them piled in the van and sped off,their muffler pipe which was held on by bailing wire struck a beer bottle they had left on the ground and sparked a fire.
Investigators say they are conducting an thorough investigation on the multiple pinatas and cans of spray paint left at the scene. An arrest is unlikely as investigators feel they might have fled the area.

<quoted text>
It is well known in the enviro-movement that occasional 'burn-outs' are natural and environmentally healthy. They cleanse the wild growth. What they destroy instead of cleanse, however, are the human developments which have been built in formerly wild areas. Enviros often complain about "too much human intrusion into these wild areas". If you remember that I was not suggesting involvement in this by responsible individuals who seek to protect the environment, rather by those on the far edge of normal reasoning who are 'whacked-out' about their 'green cause'. This manner of person would not hesitate to start such a wildfire. Nearly every movement has its lunatic fringe. In any case my comment was merely a suggestion, in response to a sarcastic remark made by another poster. I am not saying that I KNOW who started this lethal blaze. Only those responsible, and God, know this.
