I agree with what you are saying about the freaks at night. The only thing I learned from your post, was that you missed the point. My point was that I don't think any victim asks to be assaulted. Therefore, it should not be considered the victim's fault-regardless of the crime. True, there are certain measures everyone should take to protect themselves. As far as minors and curfew laws (I am in favor of and believe curfew laws should be enforced), most of the responsibilty has to be put back on the parents.

Curfew laws are on the books to prevent minor children (under 18) from being victimized. The city is full of all sorts of pervs and perps at those unsavory hours. Rape and a curfew violation are 2 separate things. A minor teen can avoid a curfew violation by staying home. A rape victim has no say so. I hope I`ve educated you.

I remember The Other Ball, Gemco, and Pup n Taco on Valley. Does anyone remember the miniture golf course on Garvey a couple blocks west of Rosemead? It had miniture golf, trampalenes, and dime arcade games. It disappeared in the late 70`s.

Pup and Taco`s chlli dogs and their slushes were incredible. I went to the Other Ball one time around 85 or 86. No alcohol, small crowds, and same rotation of 3 girls hourly. Remember the Edwards drive-in across the street from Norms on Valley? I still dream about that place.

A teenager could mean he is 18 or 19, which means that he is an adult. I too try not to go out after dark, but since when is it the victim's fault? Do you also believe women ask to be raped?

I remember Gemco. There used to be a clothes store right across the street called Robert Halls. I remember Pup N Taco, which is now a Taco Bell. And I remember the trampalenes, that was fun. Do you remember the go carts in El Monte?

I do remember the go carts on Valley (just south of the 10) and Sears on Peck. Remember the candy counter at Sears? Remember the Funky Monkey Shirt Shop on Valley? They did decal shirts which were huge in the 70`s.

On You Tube they have old commercials for Pup N Taco, Zody`s, Miller`s Outpost, National Lumber, and Alpha Beta grocery stores with Allen Hamel (Suzane Summer`s husband). Remember the store Two Guys. It was sort of where Main Street and Fremont meet near El Sereno and Alhambra border.

I definately remember the Two Guys store. I got caught shoplifting there. I haven't stolen anything from anywhere since! How do I find these commercials?

It was across the street from the McDonalds near Patrillos on Valley. Was huge around 1976.

go to Yahoo, type in the search Millers Outpost Commercial OR Pup N Taco commercial, and it will come up. It will say You tube. Or just type in Youtube.com
