I'll give it a week before this Target gets tagged with graffitti on the outside and becomes a third world store on the inside.

If you want to keep it clean and nice, you need to raise property taxes to keep out gangs and low life that don't speak the english.....It was a dump when I was a kid some 45 years ago....and it will never change until you get rid of low life scum. It'll be tagged by night fall.

i remeber when i lived there, azusa is ghetto. yeah theres a nice part but it's small and you have to butt loaded with money to live there. so either your filthy rich or your middle class or poor. the target is a great idea to weed out the drug dealers, gangs, and hookers out of azusa and push then somewhere else. hopefully not to la verne! lol! you know for a while though the city is still going to have to deal with the ghetto living there. so you have a really nice done up city and then you have the ghetto living there. i still wouldn't live there. nope not in a million years.:)

Man its amazing how something that strives to be positive gets nothing but negative feedback on these comments...truly sad. You guys really need something better to do with your time, like creating positive change if you really think things around you are that bad.

I understand what the city is trying to do, but a new store or restaurant isn't going to magically make Azusa a great town. Until Azusa can get a serious hold on the gang problems and the ghetto areas, Azusa will never improve it's reputation nor it's appearance.

I'm so grateful Azusa was smart enough to not even try and lure a Walmart into the city. Let other surrounding cities deal with those eyesores. Azusa is obviously aiming higher. Here's hoping the Gold Line isn't so far away.
