Whoa, I must have really touched a nerve there, Sheriff, er, I mean "last line of defense." The point I was trying to make (sad I even have to reiterate it but when dealing with simple minds...) was that I started, yes I started this forum to talk about the Sheriff's inappropriate statements, not to talk about how wonderful Perez is and the injustices dealt to him. There is another forum for that topic, and that's where I was kindly directing you, until you spun out of control spurting your insults. My concern, "dear" fellow, is that our sheriff's tendency to do whatever the hell he wants to do, regardless of laws of the land that he swore to uphold, concern me, as do some of the inappropriate statements he's made, driving wedges between the s.o. and other law enforcement agencies. Not professional at all. Now you're going to come back and rant about Perez again, I DON'T CARE so I'll "slink" off now and leave you to twist off on your own.

His support? I believe I read that there are 30 out of 33 Sheriffs in our STATE who support him...hmmm...now, who do they represent? But then, he's 'rogue'...but that must mean there are 30 out of 33 Sheriff's in NM who are 'uh'...rogue....what's his duty? To protect the citizens of his county? Does that include his fellow officers? The 2nd Ammendment? His oath? scuse me..i'll be 'twisting' off now...

Your focus is obvious. You're attempting to discredit our top VOTED IN...law enforcement officer. It's not happening. He's done more for this county in the brief time he's been in office than the former officials did in seven years (let's not forget, our undersheriff took over for the 'absent' elected Sheriff). Now, back to our current, and I quote based on the voters of San Juan County, the current 'ELECTED' Sheriff, or adminstration, when faced with a crucial decision...he stepped up. Not only for his supporters, but for the entire state. Professional? Exceptionally so...our former adminstration? Where did the former elected Sheriff end his career? A year before his term was up? Where's my vote in the next election? Me thinks it will be with the administration who is standing behind their oath. Simple. And, I don't claim to be him, or his officers. Just a 'served' citizen.

Jammer,

Just to piss you off maybe the Navajo's in the county should get together and vote in one of their own, as the sheriff.

It would be the voice of the people wouldn't it?

Your blind simpleton like devotion, to issues is very amusing to say the least.

The sheriff has been OK, personally I don't have complaints about SJCSO. At least they aren't shooting someone every month.

Perhaps we should...do as you say, any propects? The voice of the 'people'...you say the voice of 'the people'. Simpleton devotion seems to stick to you like glue.....amusing...can't say that's my priority when it comes to our top officials. But then again, you seem to have an opinion on every subject matter. Period. Where do you gain your superior focus? Your opinion is the only voice you hear. You are wrong. There are many Dine who belive we are victim of a corrupt Dine government. It's voices like yours who keep us in the dark.

My superior focus comes from an education, I worked for.

How about yours, likely refined to the sharpness of a wet noodle over the years in Kirtland.

Mr. Jammer, You aren't Navajo as much as you pretend to be, you are a middle aged over weight white guy living in Kirtland. Remember you told me you were a homesteader? Keeping you honest.

I agree with your corrupt government comment, keeping people down. Why do you think I was happy to se the corrupt influence of Kirtland out of ccsd.

My real opinion about the sheriff, he is doing fine. A little to much to the right, but he does is job well.

I enjoy yanking you around, you seem to opine about everything, just mocking you

Mr. Jammer? Do you actually think that every writer is your favorite opponent? Do you think you're actually a candidate in the same arena as Jammer? Uhh...not likely. Not even close. You attack the top law enforcement official in our county. Our Sheriff. He's done a great job. You admit that yourself. Why would you attack him? Are you in a position to compete? By the 'blogs' you opine on, you'd be the last person on earth I'd vote for...do it...run...you sure have an opinion....put your money, your time and your supporters where your mouth is. Criticize? Can you do a better job? Go for it. Do you have the experience, the ideas, the time, the money and the support? No? Then keep your criticism to yourself. Have a problem with his performance? Tell HIM...personally. I did. Nuff said.

Why can't we vote for the Chief of Police and the City Manager like the Sheriff??? I am looking into this but research along with working on Gallegos case takes time and an emotional roller coaster. By the way, her case is, "Cleared", not "Closed" as we would all think. What the hell does this mean??? I would love to close her case, give us answers then let us finally mourn then help other's do the same in SJC. As well as push for more community input and elections. God help us all. I believe in Karma and she is a mean bitch!!!! Why the heck is Mayes still around, adopted or not, your son, supposedly committed murder and tried to escape from jail. Get your ass out of our City Management position. He is your son, You chose him, how insulting to those who are adopted you shit!!! I really used to love Farmington.

So the Sheriff makes inappropriate comments but Kyle Westall slamming the Sheriff by stating what he did about the hiring process at the SO isn't a slam? BS. Kyle started the sh!t and the Sheriff shut the door on him. All the top floor are interested in is pay back on someone who had the temerity to sue the department for not following their own, written CALEA approved policies in not censuring Runnells when he slandered two detectives in print.

Mr. Apocalypse is barking up the wrong tree but he can't see it.

So guys with clubs and machetes should be allowed to attack cops and they should just take it? Other guys with warrants and guns in their vehicles should be allowed to make movements like they are drawing a gun and about to shoot cops but they aren't allowed to shoot to defend themselves??

This has been a crazy time with a female stabbing another female in the eye over a few bucks, the guy getting beat with a skateboard and stabbed at Brookside, multiple other serious attacks on people here and in the county but we should all join hands and sing Kumbya??? Right on.

Interesting that FPD maintains such a visible presence in the community (especially in the Brookside Park area), and yet, crime is up........even with guns as "protection and deterrent" (hahaha) everywhere.

He is doing fine...we agree on that point. Now your opinion bringing in the corrupt ccsd gov doesn't have anything to do with our current top local law enforcement official. Are you actually bringing him into your little world? Where and when does he have a voice in the ccsd system? His position is to contribute an officer in the schools. As a training instrument. To deter children in the spectrum of drug use, weapons, and attendance. Period. Where in that avenue does he hold any responsibility in the 'corrupt ccsd' decisions? We agree....he's doing a fine job. This Sheriff of ours. As for the ccsd school district? Not in any way shape or form within his control. His stance on the 2nd Ammendment? Completely within the laws or oath he took. He's not a Federal agent. He never promised to enforce federal law. His promise? To protect and defend the rights of his citizens. Period. Rogue? Sorry, ain't gonna fly. He's doing his job. That's what we voted him in for. Believe in your oath. Protect your citizens. He's done that. And, he's got the support of 31 of 33 Sheriff's of this state behind him. Hmm....are they all 'Rogue'? Or, do they all stand behind their oaths? Pick your battles. You won't win this one. Our Sheriff already is in the 'win' win arena in my book. Opponents? Your simpleton attacks will never get you in his position. We support him. And will again. Good shot mm. Next?
