Navajo Nation Council approves bill waiving sovereign immunity
The Navajo Nation Council took another step to complete the process for acquiring Navajo Mine on Friday by allowing disputes to be settled in state courts rather than tribal courts.

... The Navajo Nation Council has absolutely no confidence in 'it-self'... to dismiss the Navajo Nation Court as competent to handle tribal issues and to reach out to the state courts to handle sensitive tribal issues. This is a complete slap in the face of the Great Navajo Nation.
The action is equivalent to handing over your child to strangers who have no investment in the welfare of your child -- subjecting the child to potential violations.
