In California the folks from below the southern border express their culture by discharging their firearms into the air.

Yearly, several folks die but it is a small price to pay for the wonders of diversity and the spirit of beloved multi-culturalism.

Any attempt to curtail that cultural expression is proof of Anglo xenophobia, bigotry and racism.

Accept the invading culture for that culture will eventually be the major culture of the USA.

lol i agree that you should not fire guns. but honestly do you think that will happen. people are to inconsiderate they think they know what they are doing and the next thing you know they shoot somebody. but we all know that they know better. also they need to put more cops on the street to bust these people. and a fine alone will not teach them a lesson book the suckers

Regarding the file photo mistakenly used with this story originally, the website editor responsible (who is new to journalism and was covering a shift during the holidays) has been spoken to. There is no excuse for the use of this image, and it was removed immediately upon my learning of its use. It was an honest mistake by a rookie, and it is not representative of the quality journalism you should expect from KOB Eyewitness News 4.

this December 2013. Has TV news media management taken on more responsiblity for their actions? If anything, responsiblity has gotten pathetically worst, and no-body anymore is accountable. I seriously doubt if anymore quotes above exist (if anything to blame somebody else).

Gravity not only factor that affects the rate of which an object goes up, and then falls back to Earth. Wind resistance plays an important part as well. I see where Jerry doesn't get it. Firing bullets into the air is for the stupid. In general the celebration of New Years causes an untold number of injuries and needless death.

when the down south transplants decide to cap off a 30 from their fast n furious AK47 in your neighborhood because 'its their way of expressing their culteral diversity', do as the vice prez suggests, unload a bunch of 12ga in their direction

somehow I doubt the police will heed their own 'dont shoot' advice

Simple, Arrest ANYONE who does it and charge them with 30-7-4. Negligent use of a deadly weapon.

Thanks for your comments Ted. The Ted Nugent I've listened to at concerts long ago is against drugs, which I agree and respect. He goes overboard with his temper, whenever confronted about gun control. He losses it in debates. He does more harm for our common sense to own guns with his tirades.

He posted his name as Ted Nugent. Why should I doubt the name or be concerned that this is not his real name? My name is not THE GREEN WATCH DOG. I responded to this person's comments.

This so-called poster boy for gun rights was also rejected for service in the Vietnam war via the 1-Y classification, generally for those deemed to have mental issues. Nugent was quoted in a magazine interview, "..claimed to have stopped bathing a month before his draft physical, adding that he showed up for the exam with pants “crusted” with urine and feces.“I was a walking, talking hunk of human poop,” recalled Nugent.

Nice.

Shooting your Ruger 44 mag into the air while driving your pickup and drinking Jack Daniels straight from the bottle is a multi-cultural tradition here in N.M.
