I figured out what's going on here.

Walmart has set up its two Farmington stores to conduct an experiment.......to illustrate that store employees can be ridiculously rude, thoughtless, and unhelpful to customers but with low prices, it doesn't matter. Customers will still flock to the dirty, poorly stocked hell-hole as if they are privileged to be in the presence of such ingenious marketers.

"Oh please, masters, let us be a part (small as we may be) of your experiment. We promise to maintain a submissive attitude--even thankful for your disdain--if only we may be allowed to give you our money for a package of boxer shorts, 10 for $10 or a pair of those $5 shoes."

As for me, I will find my bargains in a more pleasant environment.

I find that shopping, knowing what I am shopping for, finding it, going thru the self checkout is a pleasant experience. I can shop and checkout with absolutely no interaction with any store employees. I find that a plus, not a negative. For the life of me I don't know why anyone would go shopping to see if they have something and have to dig up an employee to find it for them or wait in line for a cashier. If you aren't sure if wallyworld carries or has an item in stock, check their website first.

irritating was seeing Walmart staff outside smoking and chatting under canopy up front to the side.

While, in side store - THen seeing and hearing some staff talk loudly for everybody to hear them of long hours, or some grievance against management (again for everybody around them to hear).

THen you come up to counter - then suddenly before your eyes they change tone and extend pleasantries with you, i.e. "hi sir, can I help you"…….

Grant it though - there are some pleasant WalMarts particularly in the 'upper-end' neighborhoods or areas of town/city.

WalMart Farmington I stay out of during middle day especially week-end.

I may go - but early hours 7 am 8 am, maybe 9 am for something quick, i.e. milk, coffee, eggs, etc.

I love it when employees expect customers to move out of their way instead of THEM accommodating the customer.

Not in Farmington.

There are, indeed, nice Walmarts with pleasant, helpful employees in other areas. The two stores in Farmington have VERY poorly trained employees who are clueless regarding customer service.

I've found the west Walmart to be somewhat better than the east side one. As far as being clean and friendly employees.

The east side one is just strange, and circus like with both the workers and the average Walmart customer that goes there.

I agree. The east Walmart is dirty and cluttered to the max. Makes shopping very difficult. It reminds me of a flea market but not as organized.

of the the Two Farmington WalMarts was the shooting between the farmington cop- Shawn Scott and the Navajo victim who only brought a knife, or brought a stick to the Fight with a Cop in the parking lot…..

Stores don't carry everything that is on the website.....even if the site says the store has it.

My problem with the Farmington stores is the level of rudeness and disregard for customers, making it difficult to shop there. I got tired of having to work around the employees to get to something I was trying to buy. They are obviously not trained to step out of the customer's way. Felt like I'd been in a fight for survival by the time I was through shopping!

One of the reasons I don't go there any more.

I never go on or near the 1st or 15h. Each "shopper" has at least six "family" members with them, completely crowding the isles. Try navigating around that mess!

I guess what I'm trying to say is it would be nice to shop with out you and your six family members and the other hundred others just like you clogging the isles.

Yep, went there yesterday and sure enough. Groups of 5, 6, and even seven. One person pushing a shopping cart and six more gathered around ALL blocking everyone else! Geez

I was in the Farmington Walmart this morning and had quite a few coupons to use. It is the coupons from the coupon club that we have been using for years. The discussion has been brought up a few times from Customers that use the coupons. Well I spent probably 300.00 and had my cart full. I got in line and asked the girl if she could do those coupons correctly. She immediately said yes. The girls name was Christine and new I believe. After 30 minutes of her trying to take the coupons off- about 8 people turned away to another register- me frustrated and having to continue ly show her I bought the item I walked out. Emptied my bags and walked out leaving all my groceries. It will take someone a good hour to take care of that cart and quite bit frozen. Not her fault and she kept apologizing even called a manager to help - which was not any help. I tried to explain you need to use the vendor coupon button and we write the price on The coupon. Well I left 300.00 worth and went to another grocery store that was happy to take my money. Not her fault- please train yourstaff how to take coupons. Extremely frustrated. And you can bet I have told at least 3 people BY now.

The big problem with these Farmington walmart stores is that the employees are extremely poorly trained. This probably happens because those in management are not great.

Whatever the reason, these are the worst walmarts I've ever shopped in

Oh, the irony.

I just saw a Walmart ad on tv, stressing customer service ...... "How can we help?"

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Not in Farmington, NM! LOLOL. Sales associates here don't know the meaning of the words. They can't even be bothered to smile!

OH, it just makes me laugh. These stores are DEVOID of customer service. Not only are they completely unhelpful, they're downright rude and act as if customers are under a set of rules to be granted the privilege of shopping in their crummy store.
