May 2010 Elections

[Need Candidates]

I know this may be a bit early but this city needs candidates to run against seats 1, 2 and the mayor's spot in the May 2010 elctions.

It's time for those who speak of changes to begin to step forward and get your name and actions out to the people. Don't wait until the last minute to make yourself known.

We need to let those in office know that we are fed up with their lack of putting us first and spending our tax money like there's no tomorrow.

NO I cannot run for office due to my job, but from reading all these post, hearing people complain about this & that, some of you need to step up and lets see what changes you can bring to the table.

I hear that seat 2 will not be running for reelection as well as the mayor(Don't trust his word, its what he said last time), so at least seat 2 would be unopposed unless there are more than one candidate running for this seat.

So to all of those who believe you can do a better job, get busy and let us know who you are, you may just get our VOTES!!!!

Well if it is anything like Reno , people bitch but do nothing when asked to , you have a cell of followers that follow a Democratic leader , and votes how they are told to by her .
The Eye on Reno is blinded !
Hope you can get rid of yours as I am going to try and rid Reno of theirs in 2010 .
Lets vote out the Democrats that tax and spend , grow bigger government and stop the fleecing of the residents .

I surely hope that some one with half a brain will do better than what's in office now.

Why must you refer to a persons sexual preferance? I hope your not running that is for sure only because of your rainbow comment I will let the cat out of the bag I know of about 15 gay home owners in the bay myself being one of them. what does the rainbow flag have to do with re-writing the budget?
I just don't get it but ya know I think I will run and put rainbow flags on all my signs I would win. but seriously stick to the issues not preferences I am a gay republican yes there are a few of us not many. and I also am mod conservitive

At least y'all don't have a swinging Mayor (as rumor has it), with a open door policy , swing door that is .

no matter what you may believe, sexual perference does play into polticis. Many people are of christian faith and do not nor will they tolerate any one who may violate their beliefs.

Don't know why you took offense to that comment when people are so quick to point out when a straight politicain has an affair, they won't their heads on a platter,(ex; Clinton) so why should gays be excluded??

From the previous comments last year, a candidates personnal life was exployed on here even though the candidate was married and did not have any affairs, yet it was brought out as an attack on her life. Guess you thought she was fair game because she is stright??

Some gays are now pushing their sexual beliefs onto others as a way of being discriminated upon, well I can't change the world, now IF a candidate is true with their sexual desires in a campaign then so be it, and if you are so proud of it WHY hide it?? And if (preacher) jumps off a bridge are you going to follow? more Americans voted for Obama, that was the majority of belief were they all that educated in thier decision?
if a person in the spotlight has an AFFAIR it is just going to be known period. just like if Brad Pitt cheated on Anjellina. it is just public knowledge.Best way to handle that is DON'T CHEAT.

It would seem that Some people believe that the councilman's sexual perference plays a roll in what he does and yes indeed he has tried to hide it. As a friend says, "if you own it, wear it proudly."
As for myself, I don't care what sexual perfernece a person has. I have my choice and you have yours.
I don't think any of this should be involved in polticis but it cannot be helped and people are strong in their faith about God and what is right or wrong. Whether we agree with it or not.

All I want in a candidate is to be honest, driven to protect its citizens, stand up for their own convections, FIGHT for what they know and believe is right, obey the laws and enforce those that are on the books.

I have many gay friends & just as many black friends and there are those who will try their best to push their beliefs onto another. I do not push My beliefs onto others and just ask others to accept them as mine.
I agree, if you are with a partner, then stay with that person, cheating only brings heartache and sorrow and I've always said, don't want me then LEAVE, don't cheat on me.

Church and state are suppose to reamin separate but it is not and only those who believe think it still is. Prayer was taken out of schools but the govt still has prayer before every meeting.(House, senate, etc)
I hope I have cleared up any misunderstandings?? I hope you do decide to run for any office seat. Its time this city moves away from the good ole boys who have run this city for years!!
