Boy, 14, hit by car and killed

A 14-year-old boy was fatally injured Thursday morning when he was hit by a car as he and two other boys tried to cross Blue Mound Road on their way to school, authorities reported.

check on the story about the bus driver saying she would "put his little white ass off of the bus" at the saginaw cafe JR's in front of other ISD employee's three weeks prior to Keithon's death and the remark was not reported to Ms. Singletary until after this child's death. Perhaps if someone had dealt with the bus driver problem prior to this child's death he would still be with us. And this same bus driver reported him as causing trouble on her bus on two occasions when the child was not even on the bus. The ISD knew about that and still continued to allow her to drive the bus. There are a number of children who have had problems with this bus driver.

Keithon Ellis was a friend of mine and he will be missed so very dearly. It is true that something should have been done about the bus driver. BUT!!! Also, something should very well be done about the walkway going to Highland Middle school! If he hadn't of had to cross the street, he wouldn't of been hit. Which comes back to if the driver hadn't kicked him off for false reasons, he wouldn't have had to cross and wouldn't of gotten hit! Som asically, it all goes back to the driver. He had been paying attention, but we all know traffic is heavy in the morning in that area, and it might be hard for a 44 year old to see a 14 year old on a skateboard! But still, he'll be missed by everyone at Highland, and many many many amny others.

Thank you miss. a, I'm sure everyone at Highland Middle highly appreciates that. That was the very first time our school was ever really united. Most of the time, we stay seperate and fight all the time. But Keithon was one of the things everyone had in common. Keithon was EVERYONE'S friend.

he was one of my friends and the day he died was known as one of the worst days in our lifes i seriously cryed my heart out though that day every one did and though he is gone he will always be in in our hearts we will miss him very much and we will always remember the name

i was one of his close friends.... the bus driver SHOULD be sued. hate to say it, but it is partially (alot of) her fault. if he wouldnt have been kicked off, he wouldnt have been hit! and calling him names... what makes her think that she can say that to an 8th grader!

I agree, it was totally uncalled for and I think something should be done. But no ones doing anything. BTW, were trying to arrange a ceremony for Keithon's birthday here in FOrt Worth on the street he was hit. They took down his cross because it was "getting in the way of construction". There's no construction going on there.

I'm not sure why there is no crosswalk on Blue Mound Rd. With the growth here in Saginaw, there are too many children who live across the street.
There are serious issues with the bus drivers, as well. Three years ago, when my oldest two were in the 5th grade and my youngest was in the 2nd, my oldest two got on the bus and then watched as their younger brother who was trying to catch up was left behind. They told the bus driver, but the driver refused to stop. My children never rode the bus again. That same year, the bus was overfilled and there were children sitting on the floor in the aisle.

I completely agree with you Heather. And what really pisses me off is that no one's doing anything. Someone's gotta try (an adult. They won't listen to kids) and stand up to make things happen. If there had been a crosswalk and a sign telling them when to go, Keithon wouldn't have gotten hit. We wouldn't be sitting up at school thinking about him and trying not to burst into tears during the school day and getting picked on because of it. I've actually cried in class before, the first day of high school. I couldn't stop thinking of how he should have been there. Later on, some sophmores locked me in a closet callling me a crybaby. my friend saved me and started screaming out the reason as to why I was crying. It just...it's so f'ed up...

That bus driver should be sued and it should have happened with what she said to keithon before the accident or atleast fired because if she hadn't kicked him off the bus maybe he would still be with us today. I didn't keithon as well as other people but I knew him well enough to know that I adore the guy and he is so sweet and never deserved this to happen to him. That bus driver whether sued, fired or not (i think she should be sued and fired!) but where either happen she will have to let this live on her conscience for the rest of her life that a 14 year old boy was killed and it could've been stopped if she hadnt kicked him off the bus!

We are approaching a year now since this horrible day. I hope all remember the wonderful kid that Keithon was. He spent many days hanging out with my son and I miss him as much as my son and daughter do. Keithon was so full of life and adventure and he made us take time to laugh! I hope everyone will take time out of their busy lives this next week and remember that life is short and we need to be thankful for everyday!

Its been a year from the accident, and amazingly enough he has gotton me throug so much.
Keithon was one heck of a kid he was always making each and everyone laugh.
He went to my church and at church camp he wanted to go ding dong ditching. So in the middle of the night we set out adn the nurse lady in a go cart was chasing him and it was just hilarious.
We all loved keithon very much and i have learned that we shouldnt blame anybody for what happen. What happened was in gods plans for him, i certainly wish either godhad made his pns ALOT longer to which he could stay with us, or at least let us say good bye, but keithon had a amazing life full of laughter and love and every thing a kis wishes they'd have.
We love you keithoin ellis.
