Blue Hill, Neb., councilman faces recall vote

Associated Press - July 13, 2009 12:05 PM ET BLUE HILL, Neb. - Next month, voters in the south-central Nebraska town of Blue Hill will decide whether to recall Councilman Andy Alber.

In Webster Co an elected official can be recalled for trying to get law enforcement in town.

There are those who hate obeying the law and others who just sit back and shut their mouths and let what ever happens happen because it isn't nice to make waves!

Oh, please.... Does it really make sense to pay $48000.00/year for a part time cop? Come on! There was a town cop when I was in high school, didn't take long to figure out what his schedule was. Ooooh, what a bunch of protection he provided! It's not like there are people walking around shooting eachother, this all of a bunch of B.S. from a criminal himself. Get a clue!

And what cop ever made $48,000 for part time! The county Sherrif doesn't get paid that much, The County Attorney doesn't make that much!!! No one ever suggest they spend that much. Blue Hill doesn't have people shooting each other, they have people stealing guns, robbiing the bank in broad day light. Stealing drugs from the pharmacy, vandalizing public and private property, speeding, dogs running lose, illegal parking, Riots in the local beer joints that require she sherrif and state patrol, you name it we got it.

In Blue Hill the common practice is to just stay out of the way if the crime is not happening directly to you. They allseem to forget that the next time it could be them or someone that they care about. Blue Hill has become a crap hole. There is a lot of good in town but safty is important to. It is not uncommon to hear of an attack once a week, and that can not be accepted.

You say they do not have people shooting each other. That is why they should get law enforcement now before it comes to that. There is already people beating every person they come in contact with just for fun. It is a sick world that thinks that type of behavior is ok.

This isn't Omaha or Denver or detroit this is some poduck little spot in the road. Who cares. they don't have anything there worth worring about anyhow. they are the kind of people that have a mob mentality, don't do nothing lessen they can gang up on someone and do it all together. Takes a group to come up with one brain, can't think for themselves, a bunch of sheep, follow the leader, and look who they follow. Hey I don't have to worry about it.
