Fugitive hedge-fund swindler Samuel Israel turned himself to federal authorities in Massachusetts after nearly a month on the lam, the U.S. attorney's office said Wednesday.

I went to High School with Sam Israel. Not a single bit of this entire on-going saga has surprised me even a little bit. I feel really badly for his ex wife, Janice, and the kids. Janice was such a sweet girl, and no one could understand how she ever ended up with a dirtbag like Sam.

Kind of embarrassing for the U.S. Marshals Service that Israel turned himself in to a local police department. He was known to be driving an easily-identifiable RV, and the Marshals didn't check all of the campgrounds within a few hundred miles of the I-684 rest area from which he picked it up?
