Tell us, please, how much this Tempest-In-A-Teapot has cost the taxpayers? We're cutting cops, firemen, schools, library (almost) while the town has spent HOW MUCH to pursue this silly tiff against a little local business person? Seems to me there must still be A LOT of fat in the Town Budget. Let's remember that the next time they come groveling for an override.

Good thing it wasn't in Joe's part of town. Ned is a piece of work. "this silly tiff against a little local business person" will get cleaned up as part of the mill project.

I am Kim Gordon, the owner of the consignment shop. As a matter of principle, since I was approved twice, I was mad enough to make a point that big government can't stop me AFTER I was approved again. The towns people do not know that our building inspector, Harry Cullinan?, insisted they fight me again for going against his decision. Joe Sergi was one that approved the fight against me and is still on the Board of Appeals. We had to go all the way to Boston to settle it one time. 2 Departments sued each other over this case on top of it all. which means 2 lawyers for each side. One for the land and one lawyer that represents you thoughout. Insane? You bet. John McNabb's son is seen on TV screaming about what they were doing was insane. We lost a sensible man on that board after 1 year I think he served. a real shame. It cost me a little over $6,000. We figure it cost the town around $22,000. As a business decision, this is NOT a good investment spending money on a 2 day operation. It took 2 1/2 years. My 30 years of being a sign painter and how I respected my neighborhood, should have won me the case hands down. To this day, I respect my nieghbors even though 3 of them signed a petition to stop me. The other thing tax payers don't know is that we are paying Harry Cullinan a full time salary when no one is buiding anymore. If anything, he should be part time. AND, look around. Have you seen some suspicious building decisions? I have and so have others. I went to a meeting regarding another small business stuggling to open and the only one on that panel I thrust is Mike Green. A lot of politics goes on in that town hall and people need to know how they spend our money foolishly. Real foolishly.$22,000, 4 lawyers, 2 1/2 years, I was approved twice and I'm not the only insane case. Kim Gordon.
