To clarify. Body of believers date back to Adam even found in the oldest book we have believers which be Job the oldest book. I meant not Job began the body of believers. Forgive my statement.
I am one who believes that the false Catholic church is the fulfillment of the "man of sin" and she is not teaching truth and you and Mike say. You can push your left-foot on me till the cows come home but never will my knee fall to Mary and never shall I call on her in prayer. Repent and turn from the harlot before your souls be lost
Please do not sell Dave short, he has a good head on his shoulders plus he is sensitive to the things of God/Spirit.

Sorry, halfway is never good when it includes Apostasy.
So now you have changed to reformed thinking. You community churchers are all over the place.

What you just said was that Jesus created the Catholic Church and promised it would never fail but he did let it fail.

That was the original revolutionaries opinion. Luther and Calvin and those heretics.

Jesus screwed up and really wanted to to make communty churches where you can believe anything but you are required to believe only 7.

Hey Calvin... Are you ashamed of where you go on Sunday morining?

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Satan is always looking to destroy us and the catholics are already weak in scripture.

Iím sorry but if anybody bows a knee to Mary calling her in prayer they are not sensitive to the things of God nor have a good head on their shoulders. He and Mike defend a hellish teaching for which I boldly without shame call it for what it is.

Mike you have no clue what >>> CHURCH <<< means. The speech from you sounds as though you mean buildings or an organization. CHURCH is people who are saved.

Jesus !!! N E V E R !!! founded the Church that prays to Mary and all that you do. The false Church you are in departed from the apostles teaching for which Paul warned would happen.

Not catholic Calvin. I don't pray to Mary or bow the knee to her. I am formerly church of Christ, currently examining my own faith. Not Calvinist either but that doesn't mean your not "elect".

My one simple point is let's LISTEN to what someone is actually saying or believes before we falsely condemn them. Prot vs catholic it usually doesn't happen.

I believe that the Church is the one Jesus started and has the fullness of the Truth. I think God wants everybody with him in heaven and because is he is a great God, he would not leave us without a sure way to that prize.

My listening to ones private interpretation to a book no longer serves no purpose other than than to satisfy my historical 'tooth'.

It is very sad on all of the tens of thousands of belief systems out there.

I have been taught the fullness of the Truth. The ball is now in my hands. Like the apostle Paul I am working out my salvation in fear and trembling (Phil. 2:12), with hopeful confidence in the promises of Christ (Rom. 5:2, 2 Tim. 2:11Ė13)."

I like posting on these type of forums for those searching for the fullness of the Truth to compare with those others participants.

Every protester who are on these things claim to know they are saved because they HS led them to the truth reading a Catholic book. But I have for one of them to say God wants everybody in the World to believe like they do.

The pretend to speak for God but always back down when asked if they do.

Jesus told the people who started the Church that they do speak for God.

I really love Marcus Grodi's definition of a Protestant.

He is one who has accepted the Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior on own his terms. His won personal interpretation of the part of the word of God.

'Lord let only part of you come into my heart. I just can't be free if I accept everything" You will be my King if I do. I refuse to be a subject.'

This song represents the early coal miners who typically had their families camped out near the mines. The company had a store where they could buy the necessities of life. The miners could never get ahead because the company store had high prices and allowed them to buy on credit. They seldom could stay even much less get ahead. It was a type of bondage to the system. I think all of us at one time or another has felt that way. We get in so deep we just can't get out. Think of the slavery system the Jews were experiencing before Moses led them out of bondage.

I think this song is a great way for us to relate to the human bondage that satan seeks to keep us under. No one is exempt because we are all tempted.

Isaiah 53:6 All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God's paths to follow our own. Yet the LORD laid on him the sins of us all.

I meant to add that there are religious groups who have a similar system of bondage.

Then the LORD said to Moses, "Go to Pharaoh and say to him,'This is what the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, says: "Let my people go, so that they may worship me."

keep in mind that even the Pharaoh had his own form of religion as seen here:

Proverbs 7 describes religion perfectly. The woman in the text is not a prostitute, but something far more sinister.

After reading it and letting it sink in, you can't drive by a church on a street corner anymore without thinking of Proverbs 7.

Tennessee Ernie Ford was an alcoholic most of his life-even until his death. So in a sense he was under a similar bondage that he could never get free from. And yet he could sing beautiful songs like this one:

Pray means ask. The bible says the saints in heaven can hear us.
