$24,000 is peanuts compared to what he made by employing illegals. Throw him in prison.

I bet the man wouldn't fill 50% of the position after he has to let everybody go... even in a bad economy. You cant find Americans to do that kinda work.

BS. I did it when i was young. Doesn't matter anyway since landscaping is not some essential occupation.

Not more than ten years ago Landscaping was a damned good business. I had several friends who went out here at West Georgia College and got degrees in Horticulture before opening their own business. They did quite well until they could no longer compete with the straw bosses poppin up out of nowhere and hiring illegal labor while renting thier equipment/trucks etc. rather than owning them. When "straw bosses" are caught by Police hiring illegal's,they get hit HARD!!

Here in my area, I see college students doing landscape work all the time. The difference is the RATE OF PAY. If landscape operators pay decent wages, American kids will grab those jobs. They get to work out in the sunshine and earn extra money for car payments.

Daily Horoscope for December 6

Capricorn

You're in a very generous and kind frame of mind today, and you'll go out of your way to help others if you think they need it. You might donate some money to a good cause or decide that charity begins at home. If you're buying gifts for some of your loved ones it will be difficult to know when to stop, because you could easily get carried away.
