This is such an important message for us all. People judge all of us by the actions of a few. The way we live our daily lives can mean the difference between a conversion or a lost investigator.

I do NOT believe the mormons have any type of value towards anyone else in the world unless they are mormon also. I'm not talking about All mormons but there is ALOT of them one-sided bigots out there that believe if your not "mormon" your going to h-e-double L You talk about the "leader preaches Christian values" now thats a LAUGH what values is he really teaching the mormons? Convert everyone you can to be mormon and them who dont follow are "path" push them aside, hate them, ban them from your life, keep pushing your beliefs on them to make there lives as miserable as possible IF you cant get them to "turn mormon" I say KEEP your religion to your self thats fine just STOP pushing it on the world! I dont hate the mormons I HATE how they try to "rule" the world! Everyone has there "own" God they believe in and to me thats GREAT IF thats what it takes to make them a good human being then who cares? Also everyone has there own "life styles" thats GREAT TO who are we to care as long as they DONT push it on us. To me it takes LL kinds in the world to make this world go around. I say Live Life to the fullest be happy and enjoy every second of it for you never know when God (Who ever your God is or might be) will "take you home"

Wow.....you couldnt be more wrong. Sure there are Mormons out there that make the rest of us look bad. Aren't there a few of those in all religions. We share our Gospel its up to each individual to decide if they want to accept it or not. If you truly knew anything about our faith you would know that we DO NOT teach that others not of our faith will go to hell. We actually believe the number of those in hell will be few. Why would a loving Father send us all to hell? As for pushing ourselves on others, or pushing aside all those who dont believe as we do our 11th article of faith states "we claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God to the dictates of our own conscience and allow all men the same privilege let them worship how, where, or what they may."
I am the only member in my family, so im not speaking from the perspective of a life long member. My family has no problems with my chosen faith, and to be honest their acceptance of my faith means much more to me than your acceptance of our faith.
Not to mention, Every time someone has negative things to say about us, or tell lies about us or show hate towards us it only reinforces my beliefs and choices. If you will recall people Hated Jesus too.

I'm Sorry if you took it tawards you in general because that I did not intend. but trust me I know ALOT about mormons and there religion. I grew up in Utah and was an "out cast to ALOT of mormons when I was a child because my family was not mormon. I remember alot of times I could not play with some children after school because they were mormon and I was not. I also remember many many times I was told I was going to hell because I was'nt mormon and that if I wanted to "be saved" and go to heaven that I would have to change my beliefs and basically be a mormon. I also remember as a child when I went to the mormon church I was asked a few times to remove my Cross necklace and when I tried to explain to them wearing the Cross makes me feel closer to God. I also remember when I was told not to come back to church unless I take off my Cross. Growing up in Utah you learn more about the mormons then any where else in the world I think, and you also see just how much they really do try to stick there noses where they should'nt and they really do try to "take over" Now PLEASE trust me when I say NOT ALL MORMONS are bigiots because I do have ALOT of mormons I feel are like family to me (and some of them really are my family) and are the closest friends anyone could ever ask for. One of the guys who "helps runs" the mormon church office building (I will not say his name) is one of my Family closest friends and to me he and his family IS apart of my family. Now I also remember when we found out his daughter was gay and that he and his family shunded her and would'nt see her or have anything to do with her, it was my Mom that talked to him and his wife helping them to understand that she is there daughter and NO MATTER WHAT religion you are FAMILY COMES FIRST! now with that said thank God they do "have there daughter back in there lives along with her lover" So you see I DO NOT believe ALL mormons are bad what I am trying to say is that Alot of them NOT ALL OF THEM are bigiots and do feel in there own way "if your not mormon" your basically nothing. That Only the mormon religion is the "true" religion (That I have been told so many times I could'nt count)

) I am a Episcopalian and I do go to the Episcopal church and NO I DO NOT believe that is the "only true church or religion" but for me that helps me "walk the right side of life" (that is where my Mom met-up with are mormon family gay daughter and even a great grand daughter of Brigham Young they were both members of our Episcopal church ) and my son is a buddhist (and I remember when he was afraid to tell me that thinking i would "freak out" but I did'nt all I told him if thats what it takes for him to walk the right side of life then who am I to judge)(now we kinda joke around with him saying silly things like "your God is a fat bald guy and my God is a skinny long haired guy")(no harm ment)I also have family and friends that do not believe in God at all and thats fine with me too because thats there beliefs. but my point is to me IT DONT MATTER WHAT RELIGION OR BELIEFS YOU ARE OR HAVE IF IT FEELS RIGHT IN YOUR HEART, THEN TO YOU! IT MUST BE RIGHT! God DOES NOT judge you for what religion you are OR your beliefs! like I told my kids growing up "I dont care what you do in life, who you merry or the color of there skin all I ask is that you do the best you can in life and not break the laws, you do not rape, murder, or hurt anyone and especially dont ever touch the young or old. and with that said I let them know I would ALWAYS stand by there side no matter what decisions they make. Now back to the mormons I am sorry to tell you but I have met SO SO MANY that do push there faith and let you know you must choose the right if you want to be saved or you will go to hell when God comes back. No I do not believe God him self would ever send anyone to hell. What I do believe is that Alot of mormons themselfs believe that if you dont "follow the mormon faith" then you will not be saved and go to hell.

Values of love.

Yeah, right.

Come to Utah to see "real values of love" in action.

You'll wonder why you even came.

I wonder why the sewage treatment plants stink in Utah? I mean, most Mormons I know think their shit smells like roses.

That's very useful information: about you, that is. It doesn't tell anyone anything about the Church of Jesus Christ, though.

>> I'm not talking about All mormons but there is ALOT of them one-sided bigots out there that believe if your not "mormon" your going to h-e-double L

Really? I've never met any. And such a belief, if it exists, is explicitly contrary to unambiguous, well-understood, canonical LDS doctrine.

>> You talk about the "leader preaches Christian values" now thats a LAUGH what values is he really teaching the mormons?

Here's a suggestion: why don't you click the link and find out? That way you will actually know something, instead of talking as though your enormous ignorance was a useful substitute for information.

You know, some folks look at faith like an automobile. I used to like Fords, some people hated them. Some people like Toyotas and swear by them, some wouldn't own what they call a "rice burner-no matter how stupid that sounds" no matter HOW great the quality and mileage are.

People look at the Churches they attend and simply decide they are going to pick a brand and go from there. What happens when the brand they have and have invested a LOT of time, effort, and resources in turns out to be on the slow side of the curve? They haven't designed the double sided entrance doors in the minivan yet...Or they havent gotten a built in cell phone?

What happens when the members of a church that have bought into the "no free will" concept see another church that offers salvation to all? Or something new, more complete and less restrictive than the one they attend?

The LDS Church provides answers to all of the "Mysteries of God" questions. That was enough for me.

and what mysteries are those? Where you seeking mysteries or where you seeking the Savior and his mercy. There is a difference. I can think of a variety of places to seek "mysteries", but very few places to learn our purpose in life and the Saviors great sacrifice or us.

I am speaking about those of us that have had questions, trying to, as a Baptist, to make sense of the Bible as Holy Writ. I saw references that, since it was written by different people, confused me. I also saw how different sects use this or that verse or set of verses to set the bow of their church in this direction or that.

I say "Mysteries" because it is a term my Pastor told me when I asked a question. As if "since I don't know you don't need to.." type thing.

I mean, really, you are correct. The Atonement of Christ is the only thing. Then if that is true, why do we need the framework ALL CHURCHES provide?

Is there any need for authority? The Bible says so.

Is there any need for Priesthood? Well, it says yes, and maybe.

Is there a need for works? well, yes, yes, yes, and no.

Is Christ an individual, separate from God the Father? Yes, Yes, Yes, Yes, and No.

You see, the Bible is scripture. But it leads us into many various paths, that it itself says are wrong.(One Lord, one Faith, one Baptism...)

So what do we do? We all WANT to be right. We all WANT to have "picked the right horse." I have a bunch of kids. One of the things I hate is when we will be having a peaceful and happy time, and one of them, in the need to feel superior, will say something that competes with another. Then, depending on the resiliency of the "attackee," the argument and loss of harmony arises.

The problem I see is that some people are like my kids, immature and just spoiling for a fight. I claim the Church is "true." I claim the Church is the home of the only "connected" Priesthood on the face of the Earth, with the authority to make sacred covenants. And a lot of you are simply not able to let me be happy in my belief. They have to pester us and cause a tussle.

Be happy my friend. Enjoy the LDS church.

As for me, born and raised in the crap and glad to have told Member Records to remove my name from the rolls of "one true church" on the face of this earth.

Hey, a question arose...

How difficult was it to have that done? Realistically...if I wanted to have my name removed, what would it take to do it?

I don't, but I'm hearing from a few people that say it's some long drawn-out process. It seems to me, that leaving your name ON the records would ease your way back in if you ever changed your mind, but I'm not you or anyone else, so whatever...

If the LDS church wants to be an up front truthful honorable sect church organization it should be just as easy to add as to remove ones name.

ESPICALLY in the day of electronic digital computers.

If you don't what to be up front honorable and truthful you will make it hard to take your name of the roster.

THAT is the simple plain common sense truthful facts of life.

Ignore them or live by them your my or anyone eles's choice.
