"No decision has been made yet on whether charges will be filed against others involved in the fight, McAteer said."

Please, charge the others. Get them all off our streets. The shooting might never had occurred if the others didn't show up at Lopez's residence. It doesn't justify what Sasha did, but it also doesn't excuse the Ritter's for their involvement and pushing this in the manner they did. Sasha is where she is because of her mother but she's also there because of the others who came looking for a fight. The behavior of everyone in this incident should be inexcusable.

Thank you Judge Tylwalk for imposing maximum and making sure Lopez had to serve her sentence fully by keeping her in county and therefore in jail longer. You've done this community a service by helping remove this element from our streets. Now let's get the DA to move to the next step and round up everybody else involved in this fight and send a clear message that this behavior will no longer be tolerated in this community.

Sasha is where she is for two reasons...one her lack of parental guidence and two her OWN poor decisions. It infuriates me when others are blamed for someones actions.

Wowzorz - I doubt it. That would require them to read a newspaper...something as foreign to them as civility.

Shorty wanna be a thug.......
All these fake thugs around. running from NY to Lebanon. Couldn't handle the big cities, small fish in a big sea, come to Lebanon to try to make a name for themselves. Then they get shot by a 16 year old girl.

What about brittany? She is one of the main problems here ! Her and her family going all around lebanon starting fights all the time, and it's just not her you have a brawl with, she never goes alone she has family and friends that jump the person also! She should also be arrested and charged ! This all started because of her and her thug attitude. Get her off the streets!!, she doesn't deserve to be free !!I believe he would still be alive if it wasn't for her!

Yes Brittany deserves to be arrested also, but so does her mother Darnella her partner in crime. Both parents should of taught their children better values then to abuse others so that they look good.

This town has become "Piece of Shit Central" for the criminal minority garbage from other towns.

I go to the store and the ambient conversations make me feel as if I was somehow transported to San Juan without my knowledge. Do latinos have any other hobbies besides shitting out kids they ignore?

I think I'm going to send flowers to Judge Tylwalk. Someone needed to call out these P.O.S. parents. Unfortunately, it's not very likely that she cared. Her other kids are screwed up criminals, too. Pity for Lebanon that these vermin are destroying a once safe, quality little city.

I really agree with you everyone should have been charged as well. Not just Sasha and her mom.Brittany had a BIG role in the shooting. If it was not for her this whole thing might not have happen.

This situation makes me so sad, for many different reasons. No matter what, two young lives were lost. Life is too precious for this crap. I knew Sasha, and she acted very hard and tough. Deep down inside, however, she was just a little girl. So sad.

Did you pay attention in school? Since 1917, people born in Puerto Rico are U.S. citizens. Remember there are bad people in all ethnic groups, all races, from all walks of life. There are many, many good Spanish people, African-American people, and people from ALL walks of life. Stop the profiling! Stop the racism!
