I guess they thought they could outperform the hurricane. While my sympathy goes out to the lost crew member and captain, Why were they even near that hurricane? The person responsible for the ships location should have to pay for the rescue. I do not live near the ocean and i knew the hurricane was coming.

Why???? Why were they even allowed to leave port and why would anyone think they could out power a hurricane. Bad judgment on the part of eveyone involved in the decision to attempt that journey under hurricane conditions.
