When I moved to Cold spring 7 years ago, I was worried by the rumors heard on the city. I got Involved and attended local meetings, asked questions and heard others in the community speak on hot topics that have been written on this post. I have stayed in Cold Spring to raise my family because all those rumors were just that. Please get involved and give your time and efforts to helping instead of slamming our community. Many good people have worked hard to give to the Rocori community and we have come through many hardships which has made this community stronger. Since the shooting at the High school, the media groups are on top alert to flock here and sensationalize any event that occurs here. Are we any different than other communities and problems that may arise? No..Just more aware and prepared at this point.If people want change, involvement firsthand is the only way to get the understanding and know how on what red tape stands in the way. It may sound easy to to make change, but laws from the Federal government and State governement are what dictates what is fesible and where money can and cannot go. The school district is the best I have been involved with and the red tape is long with laws they must follow. What sounds easy to do, is not so easy to accomplish with the laws and restrictions set on schools.Again..get involved first hand and you will understand the miracles of this community.
