Recall Anzivino and Wash

Chelsea, MA

#1 Jan 28, 2010
Walsh and Anzivino should be recalled as well. They were clearly part of the vote to hire Crimmins. Donít let them get away with this on a free pass. If they didnít vote for this on jan. 19th we wouldnít be in this mess now. They reversed after they started taking a lot of heat!
A portion of a letter on Snyders Stoughton site from Anastos:
"Dear Residents: All of our Board of Selectmen(BOS) meetings are open to the public and broadcast on the local cable access channel. On January 19 at a regularly scheduled meeting of the BOS I revealed the name of Judge Crimmins and asked the members if they were interested in pursuing this candidate and for their permission to proceed with negotiations. All members were allowed to express their views and the members voted unanimously (5-0) to proceed. In the final analysis the BOS fulfilled their responsibilities under the Town Charter and complied with the open meeting laws. Five members charted this course of action together and no one acted alone."-- Steve Anastos, Chairman, Stoughton Board of Selectmen

Clearly you have an agenda as your comments are convoluted and flat out untrue.

Don't we have enough to be upset about without having to MAKE UP more?

Convoluted - Untrue!

Did they or did they not vote with the other 3 to move forward with Mr. Crimmins on January 19th? There is no agenda and not untrue. If you are going to toture the other 3, as you should, then Anzivino and Walsh should take the same brunt of criticism.

All 5 voted for this on Jan. 19th and all should be held accountable. If you call that an agenda, OK, because it is your agenda too.

OK Anderson, I'll play.

You wrote: " If they didnít vote for this on jan. 19th we wouldnít be in this mess now."
The truth is that if they didn't vote for "it" on the 19th it still would have passed 3-2 and we'd be in the same mess.

The motion voted on on the 19th seems to be a point of contention. Why don't you go up to Nancy's office and pull the exact language of the motion. Then we can continue with facts.

Either way, changing ones position because of either new information, getting a chance to sleep on it or because 30 people called to complain,is in my mind is a positive character trait. I will not advocate punishing someone who has come to see the light and tried their best to make good. Besides, as I point out in the first paragraph, there were still three affirmatives.

This is all arbitrary anyway as there will be no recall.

I'll believe that when I see it. Most of the clowns here couldn't even show up at the BOS meeting. You think one of these clowns is actually going to do something? Will you be pulling the papers?
And if by some freak of nature the task is done, how will you prove malfeasance?

Just saw this on another site and wanted to share it."Its time for the Judge tostep upto the plate and do what the Chairman couldn't. He needs to be that leader the three selectmen claim he is. He needs to show he is truly a contender by declining a contract offer until after there is a formal effort to open the position and seek applicants. If the Judge is what some claim, he should fair well in a professional review, alongside experiencedapplicants and if hired, start off on the proper track. Someone who truly cared about this Town would do the right thing. We desperately need and deserve it. Shame on the BOS for putting the Judge and the residents in this position and for not doing the right thing from the start."

Film at 11:00pm.
I heard a rumor that one of our Selectmen received a ride in a police cruiser to Sunday church services this morning. Could this be true?
