The Drum Corps International (DCI) tour comes to Avon Lake, OH, Friday, August 3, 2012 at 7 PM in the Avon Lake Memorial Stadium. This new event,“The Shoremen Brass Classic”, will host a dynamic lineup of seven drum corps from across the USA and Canada competing as part of “Marching Music’s Major League™”.
Each of the seven groups will perform uniquely arranged music and creative visual productions on the football field. The opening ceremonies will include a performance of our National Anthem by the Buckeye All-Star Band, led by guest conductor Mr. Jonathan Waters, Director of The Ohio State University Marching Band. The Buckeye All-Star Band is comprised of outstanding high school marching band students selected by area high school band directors.
Single tickets are $8-12 Presale, and $10-15 at the gate. Online tickets can be purchased at http://www.dci.org/tickets or at http://www.ShoremenBrassClassic.com . Tickets can also be ordered through members of the Avon Lake High School Marching Shoremen.
