How is this different from abortion? This really makes you realize that something needs to be done about the abortion issue. We can't just have women going around shooting their stomachs and killing there babies and not get any consequences.

What? How could any mother that far along not have already had a bond with there child? She was kicking...sucking her little thumb...fully developed ...had other family members I'm sure looking forward to her birth...how could this person hurt so many people? No heart!! If some one else shot her they would be locked up forever...but she can do it herself? Its illegal to get an abortion after so many weeks...so,IT IS A CRIME!

How can they compare this to an abortion!!!!!!If that was the case, they should have thrown her in the garbage. I've never seen an obituary for an aborted child..They acknowledged this precious child with an obituary. The minute she was conceived, she was a human being. If this gets compared as an abortion....that law desperately needs change....that baby didn't die in vain for nothing good to come out of this. I hope for her sake people fight to change this law soon, so this doesn't happen to another innocent child, and possibly another one of this heartless woman.

I think that is just sick, I know when I was pregnant with the 3 of our kids, the moment you see your stomach growing and then feeling the baby kick you instantly bond with the child.. She committed a CRIME, She should be punished just the same way she killed that baby...

This is my aunt, and yes, it is wrong and everything...but think about what she is going through. she didnt do it to intentionally kill the baby...she was going through a lot. So try putting yourself in other people's shoes before assuming that you know what you are talking about. I am a 17 year old girl who obviously has a bigger heart than any of you. Not only because it is a family member of mine, but because I at least have an idea of what they are going through because of what happened. she didnt kill the baby to have an "abortion." She wanted the baby. And it wasnt in the stomach that she shot herself...it was near the pelvis. She didnt shoot herself to harm the baby...she did it for other personal reasons. Thanks...

You really need to do some soul searching yourself.....what your Aunt Debbie did was a crime....if she REALLY wanted this innocent baby. You said she didn't mean to kill the baby__HELLO!!!!!! NO MATTER what she was going through...there's HELP out there...She should have NEVER been released to the streets with what she's done, they should have placed her in a mental ward so she can get the HELP she so desperately needs...that's a very SICK mind to do something so drastic as what she's done....God will forgive her of this sin, but if she's not charged with anything for this....she WILL pay in one way or another, sooner or later, and she will know. If you or her family really Loved her, you would be seeking mental help for her...if she was going through so much, how in the world did her Mother or any of her family not know she was not mentally right. well its both ways like nikkie said its just like an abartion. know it all depends what point of veiw its frome religon says many things about this. hindu says every one has a right to live on, christan say though should not murder, shinto says killing one self isnt the answer, so relgons say its bad man says its bad so to summon it all up its worng and yes she should be lock up are could give the baby for adoption. know we live in a world were that doesnt count any more beacuse america is lazy and dont wana rase no kid these days so yes she should be lock up simple beacus she took anther life but dont worry GOD will handel it
