That doesn't make it a "lie". This story was posted on September 28th. The phone call came on Friday, October 9th, two weeks later. Soooo..... I'm sure the story was accurate on the date is was posted. Also, the phone message did not say a school was closed, it said that they intend to remain open throughout the flu season... Here's exactly what that phone call said:

"Good afternoon. This is Craig Phillips, Superintendent of the North Ridgeville City Schools. It is Friday afternoon, October 9th at 3:00 PM.

Iím calling to give you an update about the flu cases that are going around Lorain County. I wanted to let you know that we had our first confirmed case of the H1N1 Flu. This flu has symptoms that are similar to other common strains of flu that are going around. We anticipate that we will continue to have a variety of flu cases throughout the fall and winter.

We continue to work closely with the Lorain County Health Department, and it is our intention to keep our schools open throughout the flu season. In the future, we are not going to notify you whenever we have a diagnosed case of H1N1. We wanted to assure you that our buildings are being cleaned and sanitized daily, and we will continue to operate as normal.

Please refer to the letter we sent home last month about healthy suggestions for dealing with the flu, or feel free to view this letter on our website. As always, we encourage parents to keep children home if any flu-like symptoms become apparent. If you have any questions, please talk to your family doctor or the Lorain County Health Department. You can also get more information at .
Thank you for your time and have a good weekend."
