Hmmmm ... some of my posts were deleted. Must have touched a nerve by calling out some of the places by name. I guess it depends on what Avon family runs 'em makes difference in which ones get deleted.

Put a tax on it and it will die just like the state is going dead because of property taxes.
Check for the green cards on the workers and see who has control. This is the oldest business in the world and no law will stop it but taxes will come close to killing it. As for what takes place inside the elected officials have been doing it to the citizens for years. Most elected feel they cut the budget when they left the vasoline off the shaff. Vote them all out and start over.

My golfing buddies and me have visited spas for many years and have never heard of these particular cuckolds. To much advertising I guess.By the way did any one know that th NBA ref's have been cheating for years. Guess we all already knew.

For all you people blathering on & on about "who cares what happens in the privacy of a room" or "morality police" should find better use of time. How about we open one or two or three of these palors in your local commercial mall or next to your grocery store. Then I bet each of you would be writing something completely different!
That would be great with price of gas and all. I could use all that money saved on gas for more special massages.

Yeah, good idea - because we're not enough like Thailand yet. We need more child prostitutes, third-world sludge and diseases, and Thai sex parlors.
Good thinking, guy. You must hang around playgrounds a lot.
You must be one of those people that just doesn't get it. Why do you think it's the job of elected officials to interfere with the activities of consenting adults? If people don't want to go to a massage parlor, then they don't go. Fine. If they do want a massage, then they also have that option. Also fine. And yet the public officials find it necessary to make a big deal over nothing just to get the votes of ignorant people like you. Sort of like the recent session of the Indiana legislature where they wasted valuable time worrying about gay marriages when they should have been cleaning up the property tax mess.

And as for Thailand and Bangkok? It's obvious that you've never been there, as you seem to believe everything you read in the media, which tends to sensationalize everything just to increase circulation. I have yet to see a child prostitute. And many of the Thai massage places are just that - for massage.

The state of Indiana recently passed a certifcation law for Massage Therapy. It is a voluntary law
This is nothing but unwarranted government interference. These laws do nothing but pander to the cheap school that offer such programs, like massage therapy. Why do I need to pass a class, and spend money, to give someone a back massage? And, a license to cut hair in this country ... just awful legislation!

I don't see a problem with licensing massage therapists. There is a skill to it, and if a massage is not done properly there is always the chance of injuring someone.

Great job Indianapolis Star readers, I love your sarcasm.
Maybe this writer, Ryan Loew, could do an undercover expose on what happens in these massage parlors.
Could you pull that off as a work expense, Loew?
Loew is an intern. He would be lucky if he could pass as 15 years old in such an establishment...

It is amazing to me how these cops, judges, prosectors and politicians can stand in front of a mic or a camera and trash talk the parlors bt qiet as its kept , they are the biggest spenders and freaks to say the least. Appearences are evrything these days. Look I know some wives who can honestly say their marraige and sex life is better now becase her man got a topless massage rather than having an affair. i think ill give all of them a free 30 minte massage and then the city will be a better place to be.

That's the price Avon (and any small town) has to pay when it allows a big city to spill over into their county and defile it.

Is it just me, or am I missing something? Look in any free paper in Indy that has massage ad's, and there are only a handfull of Asian Massage out of hundreds of massage ad's, and these other ad's are selling all out, up front, sex, yet the police only seem to attack, or worry about the Asian massage. Why is that? I've seen white, black, latino, gay, escort, out call, and tranvestite massage, yet you only hear about the Asian massage. Seems racist, or like discrimination to me. Why not attack all of them?
