Smithton man charged in sexual assault case in Clinton County

A 37-year-old Smithton man was arrested and charged with sexual assault in Clinton County Monday.

How old is the female? I'm sick and tired of hos playing dress-up and ruining guys lives. Not every girl under 18 is innocent. They are smart enough to figure out how to get what they want. THeir sucker victim pays the price.

I am sure that te above comments are written by men. What is wrong that you cannot make advances on women your age but have to stroke your ego by preying on young women. So if there was the possibillty that they might be underage, why even go there. Why would any grown man be attracted to a young girl? These are children and when a man is grown, his advances should be to a woman who can make that decision, not be manipulated because they are young and immature. I think that any man who gets with an underage girl deserves to be jailed.

Look, Im a woman too, I know these 13 and 14 year old girls in this area, I go to parties where they all are. Sitting on older mens laps, wiggling around, showing off their new bra to these men, come on, where are THESE kids parents?

For JulieAnn's info, I am a woman. I was reared correctly. I didn't have a mother pushing me to grow up too fast. Go to the mall and look in Libby Lu. Young girls dressed up as rock stars. Their mothers talking about their daughters "going out" with a certain boy. Of course, this is only talking on the phone, but we are talking about 9 year old girls and up. The girls these days are being reared as hos. I don't think that the parents are always busy making a living. They want their daughters to be the most popular. I know one sophomore girl's mother in this town who doesn't tell her husband who her daughter dates. She also has her daughter change clothes after she gets to school because her husband won't let her daughter wear what she wants. There are a lot more mothers like this. It's a darn shame.

i was a mom of teenage girls at one time, thank god they are adults now. does anybody stay at home with their kids now-a-days? if you can afford to do this, please take the opportunity. i understand if you have to work, but some women work just so they can have their fancy ($200+ grand) home, their over-priced cars, stylish clothes, and on-and-on. in the long run, it's not worth the price of your girls running loose and getting into all kinds of situations that they are too young to control. LET'S START PARENTING!

i don't know how old the victim is. with that said, has anyone looked up the number of registered sex offenders we have in our county? it is unreal! i wonder how many we have that are not registered? as parents, we cannot be with our children all of the time. I am friend of the victim in this case. She is a 23 year old single mother of a five year old boy. This is not a case of some teenage girl that cried assault. The victim in this case was trying to be a good citizen and she got the bad end of it. It messed her up pretty bad seeing as how she was rather close to her house when this happened. In small towns like this word spreads like wildfire. She has not only been the victim of this attack but she is also the victim of harsh words and actions against her and her child. She could not even take her son to the park for the longest time without someone saying something to her.

I love the fact that everyone is allowed to voice their opinion on a public forum about issues they know nothing about. The legal system manages to manipulate everything and the media are half informed at best, but we all need drama. By the way Sam, I am the best friend of the falsely accused and his family. They don't have a clue who you are. Maybe the next time you get home at 2 o'clock in the morning and need to entertain yourself you could do some self evaluation on why you need to live through other peoples lives instead of taking care of your own.

I think it is really sad that this happened to the 37 year old man, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Everyone can always judge and feel sorry for the victim, but there are always two sides to the story and that female and male know what really happened. I just pray my girls would never do what SHE did to another human being, it is not right.
