Heres a few examples:
Grocery shopping. Your in a store like walmart or a big Grocery store and the person in front of just seen a friend from work. Oh the thought of getting to an area where they won't be in others people way don't even cross their minds. Much less just saying hi and telling the person to call them. Bluetooth headphone sets were made for this one reason. Nope they have to talk right then and there. So anybody there to shop is stuck with having to find and alternate route to what they are there to get.
Lets not forget the people who stop in the middle of the road to talk to each other because its so important that they catch up on times.
Oh my favorite the people that go to the movies with a child who can barely walk much less talk. Not thinking if I go see a movie like Ironman all the explosions are going to cause the child to scream or cry.
So what does it take to get people to realize that they aren't alone. Does it take a grocery cart to the back when in a grocery store. How about getting hit in rear ended when your trying to catch up in the middle of the road. Yet an age limit in to which a child can be able to go to a theatre. So what will it take?
