The alleged killer of 13 who wounded 28 yesterday at Fort Hood, Army Dr. Major Hasan, was a Muslim who had demonstrated by comments to his co-workers he was angry with the US involvement in Afghanistan and Iraq, he believed Muslims should not be fighting Muslims, and he had been reported to his Superiors by co-workers as having made strange comments regarding this matter. It has been also reported he had orders to be deployed to Afghanistan near the end of the month! The ER Dr., Captain Ritz, was interviewed on FOX News this morning and the ER Dr. related the majority of those treated in his ER sustained wounds to the back side! This would indicate Hasan shot his victims in the back! Why was this Muslim Radical allowed to continue to serve in the military?

This is not a simple situation, but one unfortunate consequence of the Bush-Cheney doctrine distorting information, treating humans as pawns and violently plundering cultures and countries. There are immediate and delayed consequences with the most vulnerable unable to cope. This seems a man of uncommon sensitivity who had much to say, but not surprsingly, no one listening in the military. This is a terrible tragedy. I hope there is the possibility for deep reflection and some good vrom this tragedy, not just shallow, stereotypic sensationalization, Fox news style.

Typical commentary from the People's Republic of Mexifornia. This whack job was your typical muslim sleeper agent waiting a chance to show his true colors and all you want to do is blame the victims or turn it into a mindless rant about Bush and Cheney. Islam is a cancer on the world and should be eradicated. The military needs to wake up and sort through this enemy from within and disarm them before more soldiers are harmed and we as Americans need to be more vigilant because the civilian ones amongst us are just waiting to strike.

Thank you moonshine and bird. These are the type of stereotypic comments and impoverished perspective that contributes to such a massacre. I don't expect much, but hopefully there are at least a few intelligent, perceptive, enlightened folks in the military (and elsewhere) who can use this massacre constructively. It is time to look within for constructive change (actually well past time), not strike out in hate crime fashion

Meanwhile you should hang your head in shame, your need for political correctness is directly responsible for the deaths of these soldiers. How does it feel to be an accomplice to murder?

Pray tell, why is it that your self percieved intelligent and enlightened voice is not in the military protecting the America you invision. You speak of "stereotypical and impoverished" perspectives as if you are above it all yet your first post is also filled with hate. The same hate and intolerance professed by moonshine and bird. Just how tall is your perch anyway?

What a Mess seems to be the only one to have submitted an intelligent comment on this article. Bird and Moonshine, in particular, demonstrate nothing but religious intolerance which is fed by ignorance and fear. Unfortunately, I see more and more of that among our citizens, and am saddened by the unwillingness to take a look at what provokes these kinds of reactions to a tragedy like this.

I feel for the family and friends of those who were killed or injured, including that of the shooter. Our constitutional framers were ever vigilant about the governmental abuses that stem from intolerance. Unfortunately, one cannot legislate against ignorance and fear as that expressed by individuals such as Bird and Moonshine, for whom it is much more comfortable to remain safely enveloped in their ignorance.

And if it comes to pass that the shooter was indeed shouting "God is Great" during the ordeal, what say you of him? Would that not be deemed religious intolerance?

I bet he was on or getting off Phyc-meds. Disciple07@hotmail.com
Research mass murderous shootings @ CCHR.com
There is not one mass shooting in recent times that is not linked to phyc-meds.
Do the research, find your own answers.

If he was a Christian would it be a Christian hate crime. Are murders committed by Christians indeed Christian hate crimes?

Your logic is flawed, but then again you probably listen to entertainers for your News.

I totally agree! Liberals are proving their inability to cope with the consequences of their ridiculous multi-cultural fantasy by pushing their heads deeper into the bowels of political correctness.

I asked this in another thread. Imagine a couple doctors being shot at an abortion clinic by a guy, known as a devout fundamentalist Christian, screaming "Baby Killer!". Then imagine the press trying to tell you the motives were unclear and the killer's radical fundamentalist beliefs were not believed to be a factor in the killing. Would you believe it?....No?

Well, that's PRECISLEY how willfully ignorant and absurd you sound.

Daily Horoscope for December 8

Libra

Get organized because that's the best way to be productive today. You're eager to be as efficient and practical as possible, but you won't get very far if you don't know what to do first. So draw up a list of priorities and start with the most urgent. Ideally, you should be left to your own devices while you do all this because that will aid your concentration and self-confidence.
