I have seen our deputies riding around the county with the general population and I have seen city police officers doing the same so why can't the general public do a little investigating on their own. Ask questions around the area and when you find out something ask more about what you find out in the opposite direction. You would be surprised at what you will learn. People are more than happy to elaborate if they think they can sway you to their side then think about what is the most likely to be true and keep pursuing and you find the truth.

You are right. Think most are afraid to care. So many have given lots of time and money to make their communities better in this county. Before long, someone thinks they are better than them and start stories and try to take over their position. I have seen it many times. When they do take over, every thing goes to squat. That is one of the problems. Clarksville is very pretty and have always admired the ones who did such beautiful work in that city. But those people have also had their struggles from day one with the "powers that be" so to speak. I applaud those who have done what they have to better their community and city. They will have stars in their crown someday. Too bad a lightning bolt does not hit the ones causing all the trouble or not doing their jobs at the expense of the taxpayers.

I remember when people in Clarksville were at least a little more noble then they are now. There has always been corruption in the county but at least then there was honor amoung thieves. There are people that want things to be better so that our children and grand-children can be proud of where they come from. If more people don't stand up and be heard this county will never be worth spit. I for one would love to see the day when people want to come here because they have heard good things. When they get here they are so over whelmed with the beauty and the decent people that they never want to leave. Wouldn't that be amazing!

I don't care who was born when I just want people to wake up and smell the coffee. Do what you can to make a difference. Talk to people during elections about what is going on and when they tell you they are going to do this or that HOLD THEM TO IT, and when they don't stir the pot.

I think if we held our officals accountable then the general population would see that the good people of the county are tired of the crap and we would have more people doing the right thing or they will pay the price of the dance
