Is it true about Royce Abbott?

Just heard this a few days ago, that Royce Abbott was indicted in Collin County. Also heard because of his legal address being there, he could not legally run for Sheriff in Red River County and that charges are pending in RRC. Can anyone verify or dismiss this rumour?

well, that is very interesting. he may have really cost rrcounty a lot of money in election if he couldn't legally run.

Gossip and thats what it is. He was declaring a house in collin county as his homestead and his son was living in the house, supposely a not, and he lived here somewhere. strictly gossip.

What is strictly gossip? That he was indicted or that he was declaring a homestead? If he was declaring a homestead in another county wouldn't have been eligible to run for Sheriff here. Not only that..IF he was doing that ..he was being sneaky to avoid taxes and that is just morally and legally wrong and I hope he does get in trouble for it. That whole bunch is just some shady characters.

In order to claim homestead, one must live in the home...sounds fraudulent if the case is as you stated above...perhaps this needs to be checked into as this is a tax saving manipulation.
