i think the woman should get the same or more. she should have acted responsibly and buckled her child in . of course the baby should not have been in a car with someone drinking anyway.

I was so sad when I heard about this story last year when it happened. The woman should be charged also. She allowed her child to be placed in a dangerous situation. My heart goes out to her for the loss BUT the child was helpless in this situation and as a mom its your place to take care of them!

Why hasn't the mother gone to trial? Were charges even filed on her? If she wanted to drink and ride around in a vehicle --she should have taken her child to a relative to babysit. She did have relatives in Red River County and I am sure that anyone even a stranger would have kept the child rather than see it in that situtation.

I do not know why she hasn't gone to trial, and i agree with you, she should not have put her baby in that car.

He should have has his trial moved to Paris Texas. Here he would have just gotten probation and have to send a Christmas card for five years like Cody Posey or post 150000 bond and have his trial put off indefinately like Chase McDade.

it is very sad that adults have children and have no regard for there safety! they both need prison terms!if the law in forcement would get tougher on druggies maybe incent lives would be spare!

another thing if we truely love pour children then we wouldn't turn a blind eye when they disperately need help! bailing them out of trouble is not the solution to the problem and so may in our county need help!it is the root of most problems here,however i guess it brings in revenue for county that is the problem!

I just read the article in the Clarksville Paper about this and it sickened me. The father was stating that his son was innocent and wasn't driving and that his son WASN'T receiving oral sex when the wreck happened. Well, if he wasn't receiving it then how in the heck did that lie come into it? That's pretty out there to make up, on the spot, while drunk!?
