Mom accused of choking baby

A mother from Averill Park is accused of choking her 1-year-old baby boy. Twenty-one-year-old Melody Zimmerman of 26 Johnny Cake Lane is charged with attempted assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

This is something that should be nipped in the but now she should not be allowed to have that baby back! Never!!!!! I beleive the next step is death for that poor child I think if something is done now that little boys life will be saved! As for her maximum sentance possible for such a crime!

So often when you hear of such abuse in the beginning of a childs life,they do not make it into adulthood due to abuse at the hands of their mom or dad.Let's hope to heck this mother starightens out,otherwise the consequences,
could be the death of this child.

I agree with these posters first this woman should not be able to retain custody of this child.Secondly I hope she receives the Maximum sentence possible for her actions.

I agree,I don't think she should get the child back either.Too many times when abuse starts,
it ends with the death of the child at mommy or daddy's hands.
