This was a personal friend of mine. He deserved better than this. No one has the right to judge what he did. He sacrificed his life for us. Daily struggles can make the strongest man lose his mind. My prayers go out to his family. I personally will be at his side when we bury him this weekend. He will always be loved and remembered. Embrace your brothers and sisters. I knew Francis fairly well in highschool and am deeply saddened..My prayers go out to Francis and his family.I pray God would be with them. As a reply to the post by Yesenia..i would like to pray for you..and if you ever wanted to talk id be more than happy to..I can only imagine the pain of such tragedies.. Anthony

I'm just a 9 to fiver who passes that bridge everyday and happened to be about 10 minutes or so behind Mr. Ancheta (God rest his soul)and I didn't quite know what was going on when I saw everyone parked on the side looking over. I had an idea but like I said, running to work as usual. Later, it saddened me to find out that such a young man would take such drastic measures. I definately don't judge him, there is only one who was perfect and that was Jesus. I don't know if there is recompense for him taking his life since no one can really say what happens to our souls after we pass. I do however have his family in prayer and I do wonder, "what could have been so terrible?" I'm also very curious to see what he looked like and I can't help but think about him everytime I pass over the bridge. I wonder, "God, could I have done something to prevent this if I would have been closer behind him?"

I too cross the victory bridge every morning for work and happened to be running late for work. I was crossing the bridge around 8:45 when I saw all of the police action. I saw the cars, and saw people looking over the railing of the bridge. I knew something bad had happened. I found out at work what had happened and became disturbed, esp. with the mention of what kind of car Francis was driving because I did remember seeing that car on the bridge. I kept thinking about if I had left earlier if I would have see him. This has been instilled in my mind. He has been on my mind the last 4 times I have crossed the bridge and wonder what he looked like as well. My thoughts are with him and his family during this difficult time, as they are the ones who suffer the most in this type of situation.

I know life can be tough. It can however, also be a rollercoaster - ups and downs - good and bad. Sometimes years of bad, before the good ever comes around. Death is not the answer because it takes away the chance for the good to come. Yesenia - I know that every crime scene is not cared for like we see on TV with shows like CSI, and of the like. What appears to be end - may really be a new begining. My thoughts go out to all mourning.

Yesenia-I agree with "this too shall pass" the authorities don't always do the best job possible and it is a shame. I am very sorry for your loss but I implore you to seek good in this world and in your life. We all have purpose, however small, however big. Perhaps there is something positive that can come out of this situation for you that maybe you just haven't thought of, like being an advocate for placing a high fence/protector of some sort/a solution to prevent or make more difficult for someone to jump that bridge again.

Yesenia, I suggest you consider a few things prior to posting your thoughts. You never know who is reading these posts and make sure your info is accurate. Your sister's death was tragic and plenty of people cared and looked for her. Your sister's body didn't wash up 8 months later, it was 7 months to the day that she jumped. If you hadn't been disowned by your family, you would know that. Fact is, you were screwing Ziomara's husband, Pee Wee and that's why she jumped! She had already lost her apartment and DYFS put her girls in your Mother's care. You broke your family's hearts and confused the girls, they all saw you for the snake you are. While your praying for your sister, pray for yourself. I'm sure looking back, it wasn't worth it. You lost your sister and it didn't work out with Peewee, you should try to save what's left of your relationship with your family. Get some help for yourself. Based on your post, sounds like your reaping what you've sewn. If you work on it now, God might have mercy on your soul.

Let there be peace. Bless the souls of those living and grieving over Francis' death. Live for now and let go of the past. With respect to Francis, keep this site about him. What we remember most of him. I do not have any memories of Francis but I know his mom. She's very hard-working,kind and prays every moment of the day. God bless his soul and his families.
