Mr Klaus,
RPV is a bedroom community. There are not many businesses where graduates of Marymount holding a Bachelor's Degree will find a job in RPV unless they wish to work along Western Avenue. RPV is diverse in its socio-economic background compared to Palos Verdes Estates and the city of Rolling Hills. Would a four-year college be appropriate in the city of Rolling Hills? But in noting that RPV is different than those two cities it also should be noted that RPV has welcomed Marymount for decades and can welcome it for more decades. I do not understand why more folks can't see what is going on; Marymount was denied on-campus housing. Four year collegs in California have on-campus housing. If Marymount becomes a four-year institution that will most suredly would either find approval of court order to build on-campus housing. The most important and primary goal for the Marymount College Facilities Expansion Project was to have on-campus housing built. That is not going to happen as long as the college remains a two-year institution. Folks who want Marymount to become a four-year institution will also have to understand that on-campus housing will be part of that, whether they like it or not. I support the currently approved plans for Marymount's expansion. I do not support it becoming a four-year college becuase that means on-campus housing will come and I have not supported that part and won't anytime in the near future, I suppose. If Marymount wishes to declare that if they become a four-year college and they expressly state they won't try for on-campus housing, then perhaps I could positively consider that. But I have no intention to believe they will do any of that sort of thing. For Marymount's survival, according to some of their supporters, they must have on-campus housing any way they can get it. Living three miles from the entrance to the campus, attempting to cite me as being a NIMBY would probably make anyone seem foolish. |

1 For good or ill, Glenn Beck has surfaced issues and asked questions that need asking. I'd be a lot more impressed by a discussion of issues, than a typical Left wing personal attack. But I guess, that's the mode. You don't want to discuss issues, you'd rather do personalities. And of course, the coward editing these letters finds your personal attack to be worth publishing. You all are clear in your motivations and actions, everyone is noticing now. |

Mr. Dennis - for a second there I thought you were talking about your beloved BHO. I think you need to come off the island for a day or two, because it's way to late to stop the fanning of the flames...it's way, way past that point. This train is barreling down the tracks and won't be stopped. BTW - do you get the cable tv ratings reports over there? LOL

2 If any of these folks were really speaking the truth, then they would be on a major network instead of a cable 'news' channel that is really doing the business of Roger Ales and Austrailian Rupert Murdoch, and the Republican Party. One place I get information is from MSNBC and I admit that. But I also read two newspapers and go to other sites, including Drudge to read about issues. It seems that too many people use only Fixed Noise as their source of information and that makes them appear myopic to me. Even though I may not agree with items at CNN or Drudge or even MSNBC, I understand that I should get all points of view rather than settleing on items from just one source. Blenn, Lush, O'Really, Shamity, Mr. Coulter, Michelle, and others associated with Fixed Noise offer information to a majority of viewers of them who apparently live in fear most of the time and are not willing to learn from other sources. These poor folks are being led by corporate-sponsored lobbyists and shills for big business. These people are becoming a growing number of folks who are not willing to think for themselves and use mob mentality to deal with things they really don't know all that much truth about. |

1 Right on! Beck is a blithering idiot and so are those that think fox is anything but propaganda directed by formere rnc chief roger ailes. The idea that there is any journalism at fox is like thinking that the oil industry cares about the environment. |

Flynn's letter looks like it's from someone feeding at the public trough. I would not be surprised if he is working for the port. Throw more money at it. The homeland security racket is alive and well.

It seems that S. Thomas Dennis does not know his a** from a hole in the ground.
Hitler had his storm trooper drive around in trucks tossing out loafs of bread to starving Germans, great P.R.(give away) Hitler then went to work uniting Germans through "CHANGE" promising to bring the country back to greatness.(sounds familiar?) Next the indoctrinating of the future Germans (children)through like minded teachers who have a captive audience.(these kindergartners were not singing praise to Beck) Also I talked to Holocaust survivors, One journalist speaking the truth (Beck)while every other paper, news films, all radio transmissions, school children "SEIG HIEL" every morning during class, all if this praising the German leader (HITLER). SO JERK OFF, Tell me who resembles the NAZIS more Beck or Barack Hussein Obama? |

OK. Marymount goes to four-year college status. It expands the curriculum and the student population, too.. It outgrows the current location and seeks new territory. Meanwhile, the L. A.Air Force Base (or whatever it's called) moves to a cheaper state where other more powerful Dems rule. The military housing grounds at White Point become available. The college takes possession of those grounds and pushes the White Point Nature Preserve people to abandon their site, which has done nothing for the area in its current condition.
The whole area becomes a great opportunity for a new campus. The ironic thing is the surrounding neighbors will already be skilled at complaining about another school campus in their "nieghborhood" and with less that innovative thinking can make new yard signs to show their opinion. The school administration, assuming the same individuals are still there by then, will also have experience in dealing with naysayers. As another poster who commented elsewhere had borrowed from The A Team: "I love it when a plan comes together." |

On a more serious note, thank goodness (though I wonder how he came across the Gunter/James letter) Stephen Flynn brought a sensible and balanced perspective to his issue. Gunter has a history of hysterically hyping in attack mode anything in her sights. The harbor department has been there on her plate for a long time.
