You are correct, people dont come to this country because they wish to abandon their homes in their countries. People from Mexico and Central America come to this country with the hope to feed their families back home. Latin countries are ran by the rich and the powerful and every one else underneath starves, and suffers because the rich dont care about any one but them selves.
It is easy to criticize a group of people if you have never walked in their shoe's. If you had no money or work and had a family to feed and care for you would move whether it was legal or not.
People that come to the USA dont have the luxury to jump on a plane to get here. The walk to this country is not an easy trek, and believe it or not people travel from further places than Mexico to provide for their loved ones. I hope that every single person that has shared their negativity on this site will some day understand that it takes great need to make people travel hundreds of miles from their homes to simply survive!!
You have the solution. We need a legal "guest worker" program for hard working foreigners. Every one else is just an Illegal Alien who has no legal right to be in our Country.

Tell that to the people HERE who are out of a job and can't make their mortgage payments; to the thousands of homeless people HERE who struggle everyday and don't know where they will sleep that night; to the millions of people HERE who don't have health care and have to see friends & loved ones become ill (or die), and have no service provided to them b/c the hospitals are overwhelmed; to the people HERE who have lived under the poverty level for generations.

We already have alot of problems providing for our own citizens and yet I have no idea why people like yourself have more sympathy for non-americans who come here illegally and don't even appreciate what they have already been given(free education for their kids, healthcare, charity, etc) These illegals have now developed an entitlement attitude and believe they should receive MORE than what they were entitle to. Then they call us RACIST. Then they want to come back and tell us to treat them like HUMAN BEINGS....well, we are HUMAN BEINGS TOO!!!! Even though this is the richest country in the world we have many struggling to make ends meet day to day (and they are in our own families and circle of friends).

Why don't they tell their government to treat them like HUMAN BEINGS instead of coming here and accuse us of being a RACIST (when we are only trying to provide for our own). We have allowed non-citizens to drain our resources (who then call us RACIST) when we can barely take care of our own citizens (who paid into the system!!!!) Ever think about that?

Why don't they just hire people from Long Beach and have them take the boat over? Then no one's unemployed brat kid would be breaking into hotel rooms or cat calling tourist girls.
Because it cost $70.00 round trip on the boat.

I agree with the comments about going after the business owners who hire the Illegal immigrants. Unfortunately many of those business owners are "red blooded Americans" who have donated to political campaigns in order to keep the status quo (Including Rohrbach's campaign). I have a challenge to all the anti immigration supporters who have stated that they "want their country back". If you have a gardener who's illegal, if you frequent a car wash who hires illegals, if you eat at restaurants who hire illegals, then stop going to those places. Confront their owners and tell them you'll be back when they hire unemployed American citizens. The problem is most of you will not do this. Either you decide to put your money where your mouth is, or you shut the @#$! up! Because all your doing is contributing to the problem. On the other hand, I also doubt many Americans will gladly wash your car, do your lawn or wash your dinner plates for 6 bucks an hour.
