I doubt very seriously you will see Frank leave. If he did the city would fold like a guy holding duces staring at a full house.

Why do they need so many bosses at the DPW there was a time they only had one boss and had garbage pickup to

The whole point is to put a Fusco crony at the head of it all... Frank won't have any power at all. Just a dope with a two year degree! Watcher wrote: I doubt very seriously you will see Frank leave. If he did the city would fold like a guy holding duces staring at a full house.

amusing when public employees think they're irreplaceable and quit in a little huff. yet somehow life goes on, and outside of their little world nobody notices or cares.

No one quit in a little huff you know nothing. As stated in the newspaper article, the mayor planned to flush his life's work and eff him out of the retirement he deserved so he could put one of his little buddies in. I worked for him for years. Frankly, Conover is irreplaceable in this city right now. Beyond that, you'll never find a more dedicated employee than that guy. He worked his way up from the bottom by hard work and without any favors, unlike so many. Anyone who says any different either has no idea who they're talking about, is an outright liar or has an agenda. For what it's worth, I wouldn't say that about just anybody. No one is perfect, but this was an upstanding guy. Give him the credit he deserves.

Let's get it straight. He didn't quit. He was forced into early retirement so the mayor could throw incompetent, lazy Matt in to pay him back. Fusco has no scruples and no conscience.

No one is irreplaceable but plenty of people ARE lazy and INCOMPETANT and out to satisfy their own greed and agenda. That would be YOUR mayor and Keller. And purposefully trying to screw someone out of their benefits for these purposes is disgusting. THAT is YOUR mayor and Keller. buck futch wrote: amusing when public employees think they're irreplaceable and quit in a little huff. yet somehow life goes on, and outside of their little world nobody notices or cares.

I also used to work for Butch and he was great. He is a smart guy and knows how to get jobs done without all the drama that seems to be happening there tight now. Everyone can be replaced, but not all at the same degree. And it is going to be hard to have his job done as well as he did it. The guy has a lot of knowledge that no one else there has right now. Once again, elect Fucso and take 10 step backwards. And "Really" is right, he chose to leave rather than be fired and jeopardize the time he earned over the years. Of course Fucso says he wasnt going to fire him. Yeah, right. We all know that we are on the chopping block with this idiot mayor.

Everyone who works for the city knows what is happening and even the people who supported fusco know our jobs could be yanked out from under us. Well, most of us do anyway. Keller and Golden think they are invincible, but they are not. If the mood hits Fusco just right, those 2 losers could be gone too. The morale around here is nothing but fear.

I bet you DPW workers are really glad you supported Joey! How's your raises coming along that he promised when elected! You are going to be fired instead! You would have better off if you supported the old mayor, at least you would still have your job!

If you are insinuating poltical revenge was Fuscos motive because of family you are right on target there. But don't call him anyones man He told it like it was to Everyone. Brown included.

My mistake earlier on thinking it was Frank. Conover is a hell of a good guy, and is very dedicated to the people of Rome. He did his job, and it made no difference who was mayor. He was not a political person, and all he wanted to do was his job. All those years he worked on the computerized mapping for the city shows. He is not a vindictive person, but I would be. If it was me I would erase the program. But that’s not his style. Enjoy your retirement Butch you earned it, and thanks for all your work. Also Joe I know you read these threads so read this. You screwed the pooch on this one, you should have left well enough alone. There are going to be a few more leaving now, and your so called buddies are not going to be able to do the job these people did. So you can't point your finger at Brown, its all on you.
