While I feel for the boy's family and friend's, I can't say I would have done any differently. If someone breaks into my house where my babies and I are sleeping, I am shooting them. It's the risk you take when you break into someone's house, you never know if they have a fire arm.

its really fucked how u ppl can honestly talk bad about a 16 year old boy. ok yea, he broke into da mans house, but still, he's a boy, boys do dumb stuff. im not sayin dat breaking into someones house isnt beyond dumb, but he was being a boy in da spur of da moment. yea, dats my cuzzin and i love him dearly, but he was in da wrong but dat dont mean u can judge him bcuz of one mistake. its mistakes like dat one dat ppl have to learn from. you parents on here may never kno, ur child can wind up doing the same thing, den wat, ppl gon get on here and talk bad about ur child and ur gonna be mad. dont dish it if u cant handle it.

Did you even go to school? I bet you are a fine upstanding person of very high quality -NOT! Interesting how all of the responses on here in support of the 16 year old criminal all seem illiterate and of a very poor quality.

The boy deserved what he got. Any boy that comes into my home is getting shot in the face.

is this person for real, does she really talk like this? and saying a boywill be a boy and do stupid stuff like this is so wrong, if you are raising kids this way and talking this way,its no wonder you are either get shot or going to prison ,were we the taxpayer has to pay for you all, so go to school, learn how to read and write and raise your kids to show some respect and not to steal and lie and quite blaming someone else for your own stupidity.

He got what he deserved....either be a victim or a victor. Young adults like this BOY need more adult supervision. Did he have parents? Were they all living together as a family? I blame the parents.

to be totally honest, i dont care what none of yall say. im very well educated. high school graduate thank you. im going into the army. i have a life of my own. but you know what, its so funny how you parents can get on here and be so judgemental. "raise your kids to show some respect and not to steal and lie, and quit blaming other people for your own stupidity". thats real funny. parents are the reason a child is the way they are. the child looks up to their parents for guidance and if we dont have that, what path do you think we goin down? i want yall to know 1 thing, my cousin wasnt a bad kid, just very much misunderstood. yea, he was wrong, but you can never wish death upon someone and you cant talk bad about the dead. saying that he got what he deserved, that is very much so disrespectful and heartbreaking at the same time that you can say something like that. so before you try telling me to go back to school, and before you go calling me illiterate, get it together. i aint gon die by a bullet, nor by goin to prison. im gon die by GOD's calling. i'll send yall some water down to hell.

If the parents raised that boy right he possibly could be alive today. The parents actually can play a "HUGE" part in a childs future. We all pay the consequences for what we do rather it's negative or positive and you will get back what you deserve even if it's hidden from the eye of another. He made a negative decision to invade property.I am sure he knew the possibility he could get killed,so if he was armed like it is said then it is imperative to say....he was prepared,It would of either been him or the occupants. What did that young man expect if faced by one of the occupants? Would he have killed one of the family members? These questions are not asked first in a situation like this, they are asked last when it comes to a humans best interest.

And if the occuapant shot the young man in his leg then it would of been possible for the intruder to sue the homeowner,if the intruder shot one of the family members and ran being chased then again one of the home owners can possibly be charged espcially if that young man was shot by running away. So if I was right about anything in the last paragraph then it is in the best interest of the homeowner to kill the intruder while they have a chance. They won't have to worry about him comming back again for one! The parents should of raised that boy right,it is either something they did'nt do, or they did'nt do the best they could...now they are paying the consequences. Children require full time work, if you can't do the job right you better not have any children! In other words the parents are in a way responsible for that boys death!

You libs, monday morning quarterbacks, and wannabe bada$$es make me sick. The low life 16 y/o who broke into that man's home got exactly what he deserved. That brave homeowner was well within the law and his rights of defense of himself and his family. They are the victims here, they survived a home invasion and acted in an exemplary manner. I hope they have gotten any counselling needs met after the shooting. As for the dirt bag who got shot, you play a mans game expect to pay man consequences.Anything worth shooting is worth killing. Anything worth shooting is worth shooting twice. Calling 911 is not an option. Attempting to capture the scumbag is not an option- without being properly trained, its downright irresponsible and always dangerous even if you know what you are doing. You dont shoot people in the foot- wounded dirt bags are dangerous too. If you or your loved ones are threatened and in fear of your life or serious injury, aim center mass and eliminate the threat. All members of my family have been trained and equipped to defend themselves and others. Threaten one of us and you WILL be shot and you WILL be dead, and we WILL get awy with it. Believe it or not, we are all upstanding and productive members of society too. Its called parenting, look it up. This thing we do because we arent in prison and doing drugs when we arent out stealing or waiting on a government check. I have been shot and I have sent many scumbags to the grave that have intended harm on me and mine. It doesnt matter to me what country its in or what color you are, I act on a equal opportunity basis and I sleep very well at night. Not looking for a fight, but you can sure as hell get one here. You cant be first but you can be next. Think about that next time you want to go ghetto.

OK crystal meth, you have some really good points from what little of your scrawl is actually comprehendable.Yes, your cousin did something beyond dumb. The consequences where fitting and predictable, dumb criminals are never successful. Yes, he was a boy committing an ADULT crime at the spur of the moment, and in the spur of the moment the homeowner made the decision to fire in defense of self and family. We all know how that ended. As far as being judged by one mistake, how many times should a child mollester mollest a child before he is labelled? Of course in the case of your cousin its irrelevant, no need to "judge" him, he got what he deserved. And I would hope others learn from this idiot's mistake. Maybe he gave his wasted life so others like him will learn a lesson and not commit crimes. But my money says no. And if my child acted in such a way, I could probably not go on living, because it would be my failure as a parent that got him to that point. Any talk about my "good" felony-convicting son and his dirtbag father would probably be accurate. In my community, we call the responsibility and accountability.

Hey- is there some rule or commandment in the bible or koran or whatever that says you cant speak ill of the dead? Seriously, I am curious. I thought if you were a P.O.S. in life that getting killed didnt change that. Esp. if you got killed in the act of being a P.O.S. Is there some etiquette (sp?) that dictates people should lie and act like the death of a lowlife hood rat is tragic and he was not, in fact, a social parasite, or is it just the polite thing to do out of repect to his gangsta buddies and family who failed to instill basic human values, ultimately leading to his well-deserved, predictable, violent death? How does this work, someone please educate me on this and make me smarter.

There are different types of scumbags as you call them. You have the ones highly visible like this 16 year old kid and you have those hidden that many people dont know about. Either type made decisions in a negative way,may have been somewhat in a different version though. Those at the top of the enron scandle stole more from people then these street crooks combined in probably two decades due to the fact the enron scandle involved millions of dollars over a long period of time. The ford pinto killed alot of people due to a faulty design the makers knew about in advance, what penalty were they given? Some pharmaceuticals are releasing products known to have fatal side effects. Yet all these "white collar" scums either get away or they are given a slap on the wrist for undirect murder and theft,I see no difference from them and the street scum other then they have more protections and are often over looked. Yet no one questioned where they went wrong, did the parents of the ceo's and big people teach them right? There is a possibility they were taught right, but money could of been a motive for this young mans crime. The same way money is a motive for "white collar" crimes. Either way I must say once the parents do the best they can and raise their children right then they have done their job.

I don't know of any bible verses that talk about how it's wrong to talk about the dead....but my conscience tells me it is irrevelant to talk negative about the dead. Before there was a bible there was a conscience and many people have a conscience that have been severed.
