Hey dipshit, this Soldier was killed while being assaulted by whta probably was a couple of wannabe gangbangers while he was trying to get something to eat at mickey-d's. He got into a fight and was at some point pushed into the street and hit by a car. Then the dirtbags ran away. They are smart enough to know about the felony-murder statutes, if nothing else. Guess what race his attackers were? Get your facts straight. I hate street trash as much as the next guy, but don't trash someone when you dont know whats going on.

it's funny how people can write stupid commets without even knowing the person or the circumstances he was such a great person that if you knew who he was you would feel bad about what you said it shows you how ignorant people could be. r.i.p.mario.

To the person that was titled someone, maybe it would have been no lose if it was you but this was an american soldier that did not deserve this. My relative held this young man while he was dying who was his best friend and this was a very senseless thing to happen! You are a sick individual to speak like that and I bet that if this would have happened to someone you knew you woould have a different view! This man, if anything, should have been remembered for dying for his country but instead his family has to live with the thought that this stupid idiot had to carelessly take his life intstead. I did not know this gentleman but my nephew talked so greatly of him and my heart goes out his family. God bless.

I so happen to know this Soldier and have worked with him in the past. He has always been respectful and hard working. He in no way showed any signs of wanting to be a gang banger.

I miss you and love you mario. mario was a great person that would have done anything for anybody. He took great pride in everything he did and was not in any shape way or form a "gangbanger". Gangbangers are to much of pussies (excuse my language) to ever sign up and fight for thier country and for everybody living in it. Even the scum like you "someone" its people like him that put that blanket of freedom over you every night. So before you open your mouth and write idiotic carless igonorant things that you could know less about make sure you know what your talking about.I hope they find this person that did this to him and that he rots in a jail cell for the rest of his meaningless life. AND IT WAS A REAL LOSS . Everybody who knew mario loved him and loved to be around him with his great sense of humor and his outgoing personality. he will be truely missed and there will not be a day that goes by that i will not think of him and miss him. I love you mario for always in my heart.

This is such a tragic story. This young man did not deserve this. However, we do not know when God is going to call us home. God knows when he wants his children to come home. It was time for Mario to get his wings. He was a soldier on this earth and now he is a soldier in God's Army. To all that do not know this young man, it is so disrespectful when you speak negative. This shows that either your upbringing was with wolves or you lust for etermal damnation in hell. Please ask for forgiveness from the family. It could be you one day. I lost a little cousin age 8 some years ago to a drunk driver that sped away. There were things said about my aunt who is now deceased, such as where was the parents etc. some very negative things were said--and the truth was the my cousin was riding on a pathway not in the road and the drunk driver came over and hit him. Please refrain from negative comments and respect his life

Mario was a carpentry pre-apprentice in our class. He was an excellent student, wanted to learn as much as he could. Very polite, honest, respectful. We were honored to know him. He always proudly had a picture of his child in his wallet. He was planning his life in a way that more young people should be. Mario will be missed by many whose lives he touched, my sympathies to his family.

I knew this gentleman in grammar school. Sad to say I lost track and went each others way after graduation.. I consider him my best friend when we were in school. I spoke with him a few times after we left grammar school. When I found out about his death, it was truly a sad day for me. There I regret all the time I did not try to re connection with him. Because he was such a great person and friend, every time I think about him I miss him.

You were a great friend, person. We miss you brother. RIP.
