When are kids going to quit bullying each other? As usual, nothing happens to the bullies, only the bullied. How dare we be bullied?! I feel for this girl. My siblings and I were bullied mercilessly on a daily basis, because we literally were forced to wear the same clothes every day. It wasn't OUR fault!!! Our parents refused to buy us clothes! So not only were we abused and neglected at home, but we were also abused at school!! It's a miracle we didn't do anything like this, or worse. I hope they show a little compassion for this girl. No harm was done. She was crying out for help. Throw the damn bullies in jail. Hon, I'm sending you a cyber-hug!

What? She should've been able to take it like a man? Maybe she should learn Karate so she could "karate chop" the bullies? Just another case of "blame the victim". Throw the damn bullies in Gitmo and see how long they remain bullies.

So she gets picked on and she decided to scare the crap out of an entire school!?!?!?! Duh! Use your head. She has many people at the school she could have gone to for help.
Gitmo is a good idea.

Kids go to someone at the school for help and they do NOTHING!!!! And if they have the gall to try to protect themselves, THEY are the ones who get in trouble, NOT the bullies!!! The only people who would have compassion for this girl are the people who were bullied themselves. What is it with these bullies anyway? Were they born evil? They're like evil little terrorists!!

What should the school do? Tell this girl that it was OK what she did? No, they need to make an example of her so the next person doesn't think its OK and a way out of some in school issues. This can't happen again! Next time someone could panic and get hurt.

This girl used very very bad judgment and did a very very wrong thing. She is of the age that she knew better. Its not like she was caught doing something minor that only affected her and not nearly all of Madison.

Look at are already short handed police and fire departments. Call in a threat at the middle school and then someone in south Madison has a heart attack. How much time is added to the EMS response time now? One minute? One minute could make the difference in a life or death emergency. Our safety forces have to act and respond to the threat as if it were real until proven otherwise.

Its time someone sat down and wrote a zero tolerance policy about calling in a threat to Madison schools. Then it should be read to every student and a copy given to every parent. Make it clear that this will not be tolerated under any circumstance and the punishment will be sever!

No - what she did was NOT okay, but she WAS crying out for help, for crying out loud. She deserves to be taken seriously and she deserves to be protected from these bullies. No one in the workforce would tolerate being bullied and in physical danger EVERY SINGLE DAY like some of these kids are. Why should our kids tolerate it? It's WRONG!! The bullies should imagine how THEY would feel if the shoe was on the other foot. I'll always root for the bullied, never the bullies.

It sounds like someone was bullied when they were younger. Get over it. Crying out for help by risking the lives of others is no excuse. EVER!

You're right - I was. See my posts above. I already said I was. I'm 50 years old, and I'm still not over it. That should tell you how damaging it is. I'm not saying what she did was right. All I'm saying is she was crying out for help. If that's so hard to understand, then you must have been a bully yourself.

I say try her as an adult. Give her the max sentence set an example out of her. Going easy on her is not going to teach nothing but oh well if i do this I wont get into much trouble throw the damn book at her middle school student or not.

Crying out for help is no excuse nobody held a gub to head and made her do it. She made her bed let her lie in it.

Just because you were bullied over 30 YEARS ago and CAN'T GET OVER IT is no excuse to support terrorism. I hope you don't have children.

I was bullied and picked on when i was younger also but you dont see me sittin here crying oh pity me. I personally do not feel that it is an excuse for causing panic and taking the f.d and p.d away from important stuff.

ok so she was bullied and lets just say for example she went ona shooting spree at the school she should b forgiven and gone easy on. i think not she knew what she was doing and now she has to deal with the consequences. like any other person would have to.

Yes, the memories of being bullied can stay with your for life. That is, if you have a mental illness.

Us normal folk have too much to do than to dwell upon what upset us 30 years ago.

yeah memories are a lifetime but its your choice to dwell on them almost everyone has been bullied someway or the other but you dont see them oh poor me no they moved on bettered themselves and become productive people in the community. still being bullied is not an excuse for anything. excuses are for people not wanting to accept responsibility for what they have done.

She cried out for the wrong way. A very dangerous way and a way that up set an entire community! Now that she got to sit down with all kinds of cops and told them who was bulling her, they can do something now.

Like I said before, this was a MAJOR thing she did. She set fear into many many students, parents and staff at the school. How is my kid going to get over that fear? My kid will always remember sitting in school thinking they could die.

Your right... I was bullied back in school but you don't see me goin in and shootin people like 90% of these school shootings are all about is cuz someone was bullied whether it be from a teacher or from another student... I guess we all got lucky that it was only a threat... but Sharmalay... if you have kids and have such a problem with the Madison school district then home school them.... then you have nothing to worry about it....
