Bring in a new police department eliminating the good ole boy connections and hold all citizens accountable for their actions according to the law.

The Town of Crothersville has changed tremendously in the last 40 years and not for the better. I recently saw that even Austin held (today) a news conference with Sarg. Goodin from the State Police Post, the Austin police and the Mayor of Austin to inform the public that effective immediately, all crime was on its way out of Austin. THAT, my friends, is appropriate action being taken to rid of crime, drugs, prostitution and murder. Until the Town Board of Crothersville, makes an appropriate stand to the Police Department and the tax paying citizens of Crothersville and the good ole boy system is eliminated, Crothersville will continue to decline. Austin is developing a new law enforcement system, perhaps Crothersville should consider it too. If the job isn't getting done with the current system, employees, police staff, it should be changed and give other's an opportunity to make a difference. The current system is obviously broken. What more is it going to take to happen to small town Crothersville? Open your eyes!

That is good information.........Hard to believe that Austin has taken such a stand........That should tell Crothersville something.

Seems to me most people are mostly talk when it comes to Crothersville. Everyone sees problems, but no one is willing to stick their neck out to help them. Curious, I agree with you on most of your posts, are you one who is willing to go the extra mile. If Crothersville does'nt open their eyes, the crime will only move north from Austin. I applaud the police depts. who are involved in this quest.

Sunshine, do you now live in crothersville? If you do, bring any complaints you have to the town board meeting. You may not believe this, because it has been so many years since it has been true for this town, but, we now have ears on the town board. Someone who is listening. Changes take time. But it seems to me that at this point in history, we have a chance at seeing some improvements.

Crothersville and each person in Crothersville needs to educate themselves on diversity. There have been great people that have moved into town that have felt 'outside' and 'not accepted' by the community. People within the town will literally disect those that are new and can make a difference and more importantly, WANT to help make a difference. The 'good ole boy' members simply won't let anyone else make a difference. I have observed some of the most ridiculous interations between those that are from Crothersville and those 'from away' or those that 'the good ole boys' simply feel 'don't deserve to have a voice' among the towns people. School board members, churches, athletics, town employees, all appear to have individual agendas that everyone questions instead of a unified front to making the town successful as a whole. A name is only a name. It doesn't matter who you are, what your name is or how much money you make. We all put our pants on one let at a time. We are all human. No one is perfect. Each person in Crothersville has something to give. Never underestimate any one person in Crothersville or in your life.

Educate yourselves. Visit other successful communities and spend the day walking around their towns, communicating with business owners, talk with their town officials. Study diversity and the difference it can make in our lives. Accept everyone. Make a stand for what is right and what is wrong. Don't turn your back on crime. Truly stop and listen to what others have to say and don't rule it out just because it is not what you think and feel or because 'we've never done it that way' or 'who does he think he is saying that' or because 'he is from away'.

When the understanding of diversity and the ability to make a stand for what is morally right for each person in the Town of Crothersville becomes the priority for all, then we shall see the changes that need to take place to make Crothersville successful.

What they need to do with Crothersville is to start up the bulldozers and let them run loose all over the whole skank filled town. What a bunch of trash. Its a big greasy hole filled with drugs, hookers, and white trash. Nothing will change until either people there get their heads out of their arses and get some business and industry.

maybe a tornado going through??? it happened twice now, once tearing down that crappy building right by the stop light. the lucky owners did not do a THING to clean it up, and the town board finally told them they had to. but of COURSE before they could begin, yet ANOTHER tornado blows thru and destroyes the debris left from before. talk about luck!!
