Sir, you have zero reason to apologize to any of these hypocrite posters on here since:# 1 You were not the cause of the accident #2. 99.9 percent of these people on here spewing have themselves driven drunk or worse and only by grace of God they did not kill someone yet they absurdly enough castigate your son for his action! Your son...not you made the choice to ride drunk if that was the cause and now tragedy... No one has a right to blame you!

Lonoke County Circuit Court
Arrested on October 31 for the September 12 death of a Cabot man, Larry W. Dalhaus saw charges of manslaughter, aggravated assault, reckless driving, and driving while intoxicated added to the earlier charge of negligent homicide.
According to the court affidavit, at about 8:15 p.m. Dalhaus was driving a motorcycle, traveling in the center turn lane on Arkansas Highway 38, passing vehicles on the left that were stopped for pedestrians crossing the highway.
Dalhaus struck the Marvins as they waited in the crosswalk in the center turn lane for traffic to clear.Jeffery Marvin was fatally injured; Rebecca Marvin was critically injured.
A blood sample was drawn from Dalhaus and sent to the Arkansas Crime Lab for analysis. The laboratory analysis showed a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.13 percent.
Trial has been set for March 11, 2009.

Well this is yet another reason I for one do not nor will ever ride a couch aka Harley, cruiser, etc because you see on a crotch rocket one must maintain incredible skill and awareness of all around you and with the bike itself since at 150 mph its veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy hard to be a drunk unlike with the couch riders since their bikes only do 30 mph on a good day lol so that why they can concentrate on their drinking

well i am sad how people act on here.
i no the true story of what happen and Larry must pay what is coming to him. accidents happen in all kind of ways. Larry was only living in this town for a short time. and by what i have read and heard there was another homicide at this same location before.i have read ,there is no lighting or not enough for this crosswalk. anyway larry will have to pay the price one way or another.
evidence will show what happen and a jury will have the last say. a loss of a love one never goes away. prayers go out to all.. Take care,
A friend...

So, can anyone tell me why it has been over 9 months since the death of Jeff Marvin and there has still been no trial, except the pre-trial hearing last week, and Larry Dalhaus is still walking the streets a free man after killing an innocent man, in a cross walk, in a school zone, during a school function? Where is the justice system and why are they not doing their jobs ot protect us?

Jeff, Becky and all 4 children plus Jaxon are who I think about every day. It is so hard on us not having Jeff in our lives. Just like each of you, all I wish for is that this man pays for all of our heart aches. He could have prevented this tragic mistake by just not driving like a maniac and following the laws. I wish we still had Jeff in our lives, but I also wish for peace and that will not happen until we know that Larry will not be able to do this to another family. Please stay strong and let's just pray that the court system does their job. I love all of you.

It was his FATHER who rode the motorcycle drunk, driving in excess of 65 mph, through a school zone, posted at 15mph, during a high school function, passed 5 stopped cars, and ran over and killed Mr. Marvin. It was his Father's fault, not his son's fault. Duh. If you are gonna be a smart ass and post something, make sure you get the facts right.

I have a fact for you...I am not a man, I am a WOMAN and I know the story first hand, actually both sides. I know where and what Larry was doing prior to his decision to involuntarily kills this innocent man. What if it were your child, your spouse, your friend or neighbor or one of your parents who was the innocent victim of Larry? Please do not get on here and down people who are stating the facts...the correct facts at that. And please respect the family. They have done nothing wrong. They are innocent victims of this Larry Dalhaus' decision to drive drunk, in excess of 70 mph, through a school zone, during a high school function, passing 5 "FIVE" stopped cars and running over and killing Mr. Marvin and severly injuring his wife. Don't tell me to STFU. Get a job.

I find it so amazing that everyone feels they have the right to judge someone without knowing the facts or apparently the man on the bike. I worked with "the man on the bike" for many years and never knew him to be a drug user of any type (we were all tested on all regular basis). I too feel terrible for the loss of the young girl, who until she can find forgiveness in her heart, won't be able to move on. This was an accident people!! It was raining, the roads were slick, and you couldn't possible drive a high rate of speed during a football game in this particular part of town. Let God be the judge! and yes, he will have his day in court. I pray for everyone to find peace and forgiveness in their hearts and for "the man on the bike" who has to live each day knowing he took another man's life. You can't always believe the news that like's to sensationalize everything to make it news worthy.
