Does anyone know of a swimming pool (maybe one in a subdivision), where families can join for the summer (besides Boundary Waters)? It has to be in or near Douglas County.

Thanks,
De'Nean

PS-we found that the Jesse Davis park pool was too chlorinated, and caused skin slight burns on my kids' skin, so we don't go there anymore.

if you have a golfer, you can join cannon gate, the golfer can, wel golf. and you and the kids can go to any country club pool even if your golfer is not playing or playing at the poool you want to swim at.

Thank you, I'll check this option out. I don't have a golfer, but maybe there is another option.

Please go bother someone else who might care what you have to say--your kind of response is not acceptable to my posts.

I have been to the Shallowford pool many times as a guest of a member. The water is so clean. Nice folks down there. We went to one of their cook outs. The guys had a horseshoe tournament going on.

I looked into Shallowford Heights. It is about $275 (?) for a family. It is very nice. I wish they stayed open later in the evening. Who can go swimming before 6:00 during the week? We will probably do it anyway, but it would be nice if I could find a pool with evening hours. Does anybody know of other subdivisions who offer this option?

I wish subdivisions that have empty pools would sell memberships - I would buy in at a reasonable price!

We belong to Shallowford. My kids love it and so do I. Lots and lots of fun. They have cook outs, camp outs (on the grounds). They also have a concession stand that sells good food. Music and so much more. When I checked they will be open next week end. Here is the email: [email protected] if anyone is interested!

Oh...They do stay open passed 6pm if they have a volunteer to close and lock the gate.
