Well, I hear that they are going to send these recalled cribs to South America. I hope that is not true. That would be awful. Just like in China whose greed outweighed their conscience and cost the lives and health of thousand of babies. I liked the way they dealt out their punishment by executing those responsible. I hope those thinking of doing something like that in the future thinks twice about it. Disgusting that people are willing to sacrifice lives for money.

When people are buying these cribs, Who are putting them together? Sometimes when a crib is not screwed correctly the screws will become loose and that will cause the cribs to have space where a small child can put his/her head in. To the people who make these cribs put them together by a professional person, and see what happens.(not by putting a baby in the crib, but to see if there are a hugh amount of space where a baby's head can easily fit in. Please re-think on selling these cribs. Ask yourself, would you want this to happen to your child?

We as responsible adults need to provide a safe environment for our
babies and toddlers. The drop side on cribs is for the convenience of parents reaching in to pick up the child. Who said parenting needs to be made so convenient that children need to occasionally sacrifice their lives. I say no more drop sides on cribs. Children have enough places where their heads can get stuck. All existing drop sides need to be bolted immovable and a warning label provided to warn against reversing the fix.
