If the jobs opens keep things posted, I will apply for the job and keep everyone happy there. As long as a officer is out protecting and seving tickets will come to him, they are a speed trap right now and it is getting crazy. There needs to be more professinal people in the department. I can bring that to the city of marionville.

What you people need to do is kick you city leaders out of the police department. I am not talking about the chief, but the council. I do believe the biggest issue is that the council and mayor are trying to be cops, or micro managing the department. This happens almost every were in a small city/town and it needs to stop.

I do not know your chief now, but I did know the on that left less than a year ago and he was a good man. I do know the young officer that was shot and then returned fire to save some lives in the community and he also is a good man. I would think that you would all stand up and support officers that this not bad mouth them to your friends but the praise them on here or in public.

I pray that all who read this and support law enforcement would start going to the city meetings and tell them that you all want them to stay out of the Police Department so that the Chief can run it the way s/he sees fit to run it. Then see how professional it becomes. At least then you would have a true check and balances program.

Here's my experience. Two yrs ago I had a small green 4 wheeler stolen from my back yard. I reported it, I suspected who took it. Around the corner from my house was a 4 wheeler spray painted black and all the stickers where removed. I told the police who I suspected. He is a well known Marionville resident and has lived here his whole life.The police basicly laughed at me and said, "NO, he's never been in any kind of trouble." A few months later I came home from a trip and my 4 wheeler was sitting in my driveway. Spray painted black with all the stickers removed. I had the police come and finger print it. Even I could see clear finger prints. The police told me that the finger prints were too smeared to get identification. CROCK!!! So yes, it's not the crime it's WHO you are.
Lastly My husband and I get pulled over ALL the time!!!! We always use our blinkers(excuse they use) and our vehicles are ALWAYS Legal!!! So GO AHEAD Pull us over!!!! I'll kiss every Marionville Officers *** if they ever find anything wrong.

Please attempt to report to MO Attorney General. I know that the entire state is corrupt but we may be able to establish a mo here and put these bastards in the public light. You cannot expect anyhting from "law enforcement"

How may police chiefs in the last couple of years? There is no freedom of speech here. And what about the police office burglary
and theft of guns? And the city clerk writing personal checks with our tax money? Who do they think they are kidding?

Yes you do have a drug problem and have had one since 2003. This was evedent and brought to the attention of the Mayor and City Councel. The PD was told that there was no drug problem in the city and Officers were let go.

Yes, lets talk about the City Clerk stealing from the city. This was brought to the attention of the fine City Mayor at the time (2003-2004) and it was disregarded. Other things like the Drug problem, unfair treatment of city employees, Court clerk calling suspects and informing them that the police were going to pay them a visit prior to there arrival. The city was actually run by a person who donated a jaws of life to the fire department and allowed the city to utilize his land for the fire station. Everyone knows who that is, who someone in the know. The Cheif at the time had reduced the crime rate in the city and Lawerence County by 1/3% also helping to solve crime within the county. But because he was honest and fair to the citizens of Marionville, he was let go and his officers all resigned. Marionville is another Mayberry RFD.
